Oh Well

Apparently Wash. is having a meeting with Russell, the theory being they are going to get the Raiders 1st pick, and the Raiders get Washington's pick at #6.  Clearly Washington will throw in Campbell the QB they signed a few years ago, plus other goodies, no rumor as to who that might be.

last night discussing Russell and Quinn.  The Indy GM was on talking about the two players, his observation being that Russell is very raw, poor footwork, poor body movement when throwing etc. He said the obvious, that Russell has an incredible arm which can't be taught but that Russell will need a lot of work to be a big time QB.  He felt Quinn was better when he doesn't try to be so methodical such as the last two minutes etc.  In any event if the Raiders do make a trade with Washington it seems pretty clear that in the #6 spot, the Clemson defensive end who is considered the best defensive player in the draft would be there for the Raiders, that would not be a bad thing to have someone replace Brayton as a bona fide pass rusher.  I know the Raiders problem was the offense last year but they could sure use another defensive end who was a pass rusher.
