The Turk Cometh DLD 8-30-07

Many eastern european countries were known for decapitation as a deterant for other countries to invade their space. Vlade Tepes aka Vlad "the impaler" was known for using this practice when the Turks invaded Transylvania. I don't know if the Turks deserve the reputation of decapitation but you'll have to ask the Greeks and others from that region. With that said tomarrow we will know who will be "cut" from our Raiders.

Whom do you think will be spared "the Turk" this time around?

I'd Like to See:
O'Neal
Crockett
BJ Ward
Ricky Brown
Higgins
Williams

All make the team.

None of those 6 would make it past free agency and onto the Practice Squad.

I have a bad feeling...
about Crockett. I hope he sticks around b/c I don't think we'll see the same fumble rate as LJ. Crockett is a Pete Banaszak with dread locks. As a kid I couldn't have been happier when old #40 scored in Super Bowl XI.

I like "Ike" our LB special teams guy. And our rookie fullback. I think Kiffin has been given the power and authority to remake this team and so far I think his moves have been brilliant.

Two who need to go
It is time for the Turk to make a visit to Elvis Whittig's locker and I strongly beleive that he will stop at Tyler Brayton's on the way.  I fear Mr. Crockett and quite possibly Stu Swaggert (Vann McElroy reincarnate) will also meet their ends like many Transylvians.  Football games are won with young, fast, hungrey, aggresive men like Ward, Higgins and O'Neal.

Brayton vs Gerard Warren
It will be interesting to see if these guys make it. Maybe Kiffin, after his admission about the dearth of talent on this team takes a chance on Warren. That would bea very Raider type move to make and I certainly endorse it.
