This game is garbage!!!
I cannot believe that McCown is still in there.

I wonder what it will take?

And how about managing the last two minutes a little better?

No timeouts called!?!?! Nothing!!!

I am not impressed with "Son of Monte" at this point.

gah
How embarassing. McCown injured is better than Cullpepper?

I'm sorry, but this shit is getting way beyond my nerves. We haven't even been competitive since the super bowl year 4 years ago. Something has GOT to give. Our offense sucks. Our defense is getting burned.

NOTHING IS WORKING RIGHT NOW.

Son of Monte's Clock Management:
Was embarrassing. Once again he is letting the other team control the tempo.

So far, he looks like a mistake.

With every snap that McCown takes I am less "in".

Seabass almost drilled that second 52-yarder...Considering he kicked it off the TOP of the goal post, he kicked the shit out of that.

Right now I hate Kiffen more than Shanty-hands
Stiffen loses two winnable games just because he has this stupid fucking idea that McNo-one is a better QB than Culpepper.

99.9 percent of the WORLD knows that you should have started.

The remaining .1 are retarded, ergo Kiffen is retarded

To all Raiders: please use a variation of the wrestling chant

FUCK YOU, KIFFEN <clap, clap, clap-clap-clap>
START CUL-PEP-PER!! <clap, clap, clap-clap-clap>

are you watching the same game?
it aint Kiffen, it aint McCown. The secondary is believing their own press clippings. Get a pick, break up a pass.... do something...PLEASE. How about making those mile high liver lips punt!

Can we please go get a kicker! let the polish sausage kick rocks....KICK ROCKS! fatty

are YOU watching the same game?
Any coach that makes a bonehead decision to put out a no-trick pony like Mc-no-one and expects to win a game with him has to be at fault.

Compound that with the fact that Sea Bass gets boozed up before the game starts, then we have a losing season again.

Eventually, you have to blame these Stiffen for the bad decisions pregame and McBunghole for contributing to starting the team in a hole we are forced to fight out of.

The defense is at fault for much of it, but we should be putting points on the board so the Raiders won't have to come from behind to win.

Anyone who doesn't eventually see that should be Drawn and Quartered in the Black Hole.

Honestly, what game were YOU watching?

WITH ALL DUE RESPECT
HOW CAN YOU HONESTLY BLAST LANE WITHOUT REMEMBERING THE STAMPEDE OF JV COACHES WE SUFFERED SINCE GRUDEN GOT TRADED. THIS IS THE NFL, NEW SYSTEMS TAKE TIME... TRUST ME, I NOT GIVING HIM AN INDEFINITE PASS BUT I AM ENCOURAGED BY WHAT SEEMS TO BE HAPPENING TO THE TEAM. WE HAVE NOT MADE BIG PLAYS CONSISTENLY SINCE GANNON WAS UNDER CENTER. OUR D CAME UP BIG A FEW TIMES LAST YEAR BUT THEY GOT NO HELP AND IT BEGAN TO WEAR ON THEM, I SEE SIGNS OF BREAKING THAT "HERE WE GO AGAIN" MENTALITY THAT CAN DESTROY A FRANCHISE. LOSING IS A CULTURE AND I HONESTLY BELIEVE KIFFEN CAN CHANGE IT. CULPEPPER MAY BE INEVITABLE AND THATS FINE... IM ALL FOR IT BUT WE HAVE TO BUILD A NEW FOUNDATION AND THAT TAKES MORE THEN A FEW GAMES. LANE COMES FROM NOT ONLY A WINNING SYSTEM BUT FROM A DYNASTY AND HE IS MAKING MOVES TO TRY AND IMPLEMENT THE SAME WITH THE RAIDERS.

by DITCH DAVIS on Sep 17, 2007 10:45 AM PDT up reply actions

I respect your opinion on this matter
but I have to disagree on the matter.

Although Kiffen shows more promise than the rows of JV coaches Uncle Al has paraded in and out of the Raider revolving door, one has to question his pregame decisions.

Put into your calculations that:

a. McKown had a bum foot and a damaged throwing hand, and was listed as questionable before the game.

b. McKown registered substandard completion yards, a lot pass completion average and was prone to interceptions and fumbles.

c. Despite being newer to the offense, Culpepper has had part of camp and two weeks of regular season practice to grasp the raider X's and O's.

d. Culpepper when healthy has displayed a rocket arm with accuracy. Despite losing some mobility with his rebuilt knee, he has shown some mobility during the preseason.

e. Most of the offense came through the success of the running game with LaMont. We just needed a signal caller who wouldn't turn the ball over. McKown, as evidenced by the six turnovers he has already committed is definitely not the answer.

The day after the loss, I can at least respect Kiffen on his convictions, but with numbers like McKown has now, how could he not start Culpepper. He's in good health and the closest we can get to a Russell-like talent. If nothing else, Culpepper taking over as starter will show the young Russell how to handle the offense when he is ready to ascend to the helm.

We are coming off the third game after a couple of losses. We need Culpepper now.

WE CAN BOTH BE RIGHT
I DONT WANT TO SEEM AINT D.C. I WAS ACTUALLY PUMPED AT NEWS HE WAS LIKELY TO START AND HE MAY VERY WELL BE "THE GUY"... J-MARK IS AT LEAST A YEAR OUT FROM DOING ANYTHING OF NOTE. NO ? D.C. HAS THE BETTER ARM AND WAY MORE EXPERIENCE THOUGH WE CAN PROBABLY AGREE McCOWN IS MORE FLEET OF FOOT. THAT BEING SAID I THINK IT IS IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND THE PSYCHE OF KIFFEN. HES FROM SC AND A PUPIL OF CARROL'S, AND A BIG THING WITH THOSE GUYS IS COMPETITION. SC'S TUESDAYS PRACTICES ARE DEVOTED TO IT. WHEN YOU WATCH SC PLAY THEY ARE ALWAYS CALM COOL AND COLLECTED BECAUSE THEY HAVE THIS "IM NOT INTIMIDATED BY ANYONE" TYPE ATTITUDE WHICH COMES FROM A WILL TO COMPETE. I AM GUESSING THAT McCOWN MIGHT, AT LEAST AT THIS POINT, SHOW A LITTLE BIT MORE FIRE AT PRACTICE. MAYBE THATS WHY LANE FEELS BETTER WITH HIM RIGHT NOW. BUT IF WE HAVE TO SHOOT JUST ONE PERSON.... PLEASE LET IT BE SEA BISCUIT! HE HAS COST US AT LEAST A BAKERS DOZEN IN THE LOSS COLUMN!

At least we can agree
that JanCow should've been left somewhere in the Rocky Mountain wilderness after the BS he's pulled with our team.
