May Trade Bush?
Report: Raiders may deal either Fargas or Bush

Article Launched: 10/12/2008 10:45:53 AM PDT

The Oakland Raiders are ready to trade either Justin Fargas or Michael Bush, according to a report on CBS Sports this morning.

CBS analyst Charley Casserly reported that the Raiders, who have three solid running backs in Fargas, Bush and rookie Darren McFadden, would be willing to deal either Fargas or Bush. Casserly said that Bush, in his second year from Louisville, would be the most likely to be dealt.

The NFL’s trading deadline is on Tuesday.

Since this is a postive thread

The Raiders did win me some $$

1st Q under
1st half under
2nd half over parlayed w NO -3
NO -7 parlayed w under
Miller more than 36.5 yards

Only bummer was the 20 bucks for Huggy bear only getting 2 yards on his first carry

Game sucked but at least my club seats are paid for next week, so I can puke in person watching !!!

There was not a bright spot through the entire game.

Russell threw TD passes high, guys dropped several passes, play calling was terrible, and that is before I talk about the defense. It is one thing to say a defense is tired because the offense did nothing, but the defense has to get off the field also, and in the 2nd quarter they did not. So much for the nice talk about the transition, this team flat laid down today. It is a mystery to me that Brees completed 30 some odd passes and only one pass was downfield over 10 yds. but the Raiders apparently don’t have a pass play called to a back coming out of the backfield, a short quick pass and let McFadden run. I guess you can forget this season also, so much hope to begin and then this fiasco. I guess the Raiders didn’t want to lose any 4th quarter lead, at least these losses are easy to take, over early, pack and go home.

Way to go Al,we’ve gone from commitment to excellence, to commitment to excrement!

I'll start watching again.

If we win another game this year. The Raiders didn’t even show up against the Saints and I am not going to go to the bar and spend my money to watch them get trampled any more. Obviously, Lane Kiffin was not the problem at all. If anything he was making the team better with new ideas and a new concept except for Ryan telling the defense to lay down when we got a lead. Now with the Cable in there I don’t see us beating anyone if we continue to play like we did against the Saints. And I agree on the “whole team is a bust” statement at this point until proven otherwise. I heard the NFL Network just now say the Tom Cable era looks like an Art Shell 2 era which I have to agree with.

On the Fargas/Bush trade issue…..we should keep them both for depth. But if I had to choose one it would be Fargas because he is a proven player, and we would get more for him than what we would from Bush. We basically traded Randy Moss to get Michael Bush so if Bush is released it just further shows Davis’ lack of committment to winning. McFadden is better than Fargas as for being a finesse home run hitter. Bush is our power guy and reminds me of a faster Zack Crockett so I hope he stays for the 1-2 punch of McFadden and Bush. Bring up Louis Rankin if one is traded because he appears to be a good prospect with his performance in preseason.

Plus, Fargas is injury prone. I love watching him play but his reckless running style leads to constant injuries. So, I hope that if anyone gets traded, it’s Fargas for a good/accomplished safety to start over Huff. Or, for a linebacker because Ricky Brown sucks. Just not any draft picks because the Raiders ! at drafting.

It is hard to believe they would trade Fargas

He is the one who carries the ball most, and frankly Bush has been a disappointment.\
He doesn’t seem to run with any authority but I still wouldn’t give up on him. Hopefully neither will be traded, you never have enough backs, they get injured so often. I have been saying for two years we don’t have a decent strong side backer, nothing has changed. Maybe we draft the USC linebacker this year, we need help fast.

Napolean Harris

just became available again. He might be out to prove himself now and show that he is worth the first round pick we used to get him. Or, we could get Hartwell and actually GIVE HIM A CHANCE and see how he does on the field during an actual game because we need an SLB like now.

I’d prefer to go with Laoren on this and just lose the rest of our games to either get James Laurinaitis or Rey Maualuga.
