Tribute to my fellow bloggers

I would just like to give a special shout out to all of my buddies on here. Now I only joined this blog a few weeks after the Super Bowl, but I've met my fair share of fans on here. Ranging from questionable fans like Bacon, to die-hards like Saint, to even Bronco fans like Zappa. I love chatting with the regulars, and miss those who seem to have just vanished. One who no longer shows up that I remember the most is OakFoSho. I remember our heated pre-draft arguments about McFadden and Dorsey. I remember arguing of offseason signings. He was the one I argued with the most, and yet the one I enjoyed chatting with the most.

Now back to the present. I'd like to say thank you to those who have been contributing, commenting, and just plain reading. Let's remember those who don't join in, but just read what we have to say. I'd like to thank those who lived through my near departure after the raiders opposition series, and those who have been faithful commentors and readers of my work. I'd also like to thank those who have contributed and given me something to read. After all, this is where I get most of my Raider news.

My special thanks goes out to:

Saint- for keeping this show running and being a constant source of info

Raider76- for being one of the more active people on here

punisher- for being an especially active blogger.

Bacon- for giving me someone to argue with

Zappa- for similar reasons as bacon

Laoren- for being a very sensible and unbiased person on here

RaiderPete- for similar reasons to Laoren

OaklandSMASH- for incredibly active, sensible, and being a good friend on here

To all the countless people I've met and chatted with on here- I apologize for not individually expressing my gratitude, but there's so many of you I couldn't get to all of you. But each of you I thank deeply

And my final shout out to my Raider brethren, stay faithful and hold your heads high with silver and black pride.

We have some pretty sweet things developing here that I’ll share with the rest of you once they are approved. I will say this though, the big boys in the mainstream media are reading this Blog and are impressed. Keep up the good work and you may be surprised to see where your articles get posted.

shweet. I know I sent in one story to MVN and it wound up on on SI in a section detailed “Raiders Blogs” I know some other people’s stuff as been listed there on SI too just from here. I’d like to say your welcome to everyone who’s thanked me thus far (Raider76 and saint) and everyone who’s sayin thanks without actually posting it.

Kiffin says we can't win, but Cable says we coud be playoff contenders

Cable is closer than Kiffin. I’d like to see Cable make this team better and get the head coach spot for more than the remainder of the season.

Rayder K is a cool guy too but he stopped posting.

And yeah I am incredibly biased towards the Raiders and believe we should go 16-0 every year or atleast win the super bowl every year. :)

I just realized that this quote shows much love for the Raiders, but…..even after death I will still always be a Raiders fan.

You acknowledge bloggers on this site, some of which do not post or comment much, or worse are really ignorant or just inflammatory (Bacon), while you ignore the other fine contributors to this site.

If you are going to call out people in the form of a tribute, then you should fully research your subject before publishing it to avoid the possibility of slighting anybody.

I do not post much but I really enjoy reading these fantastic SportsNation blogs, as there are so many terrific, knowledgeable contributors.

Since you neglected to acknowledge the other excellent contributors to SaBP I will:
autumnwind, CommitmedtoExcellence, TheRaiderWay, mikesd1981 and LiveAdam.

Their contributions along with the ones you mentioned have made this site a great read.

I gave a thanks to those I didn’t get to individually because if I did it would take me about three hours to type up because there’s so many great people on here. I typed the first names that came to mind and those who I know best. I apologize to those who are hurt by this but you should be thankful I gave a tribute at all.

Now the bacon issue, I explained as to why Bacon was on there, because the ignorant punk I love to argue with. He’s my OakFoSho but a way less passionate guy. So in a way he’s just the annoying part of OakFoSho.

Once again I apologize to those not previously mentioned but I’m doing the best I can with the timetable available to me.

I’d like to shout out to Saint, Raider76, and RaiderPeter as well. I’m sure there are more of you Raider fans out there who have been fun to talk smack with or debate a serious football related issue. Also to the lurker out there who let me and my brother tailgate with him on opening day.
