Game Thread 11-16-08: Oakland Raiders @ Miami Dolphins
20 minutes until some FOOTBALL!!!
RRRAAAIIDDEERRSS!!!!!
As I write this, it has been reported, as I have wondered about many times, by Chris Mortensen, that Jim Fassell has written a letter to Al Davis expressing his interest in coaching the Raiders.
I wonder if he sent it by courier and had it displayed on an overhead projector?
I am hoping that D-mac gets 20 touches today and that Curry gets out of the dog house long enough to remind us all what he can do!!!
Go RAIDERS!!!
I'm picking JaMarcus Russell to be the player of the game. He needs to be the man and lead this team to victory.

And it will be
Jim Fassell because he’s one of the few willing to deal w/ Davis.
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
I hope you're right saint
I would love to see J-Russ step up.
He needs to if he’s going to be successful. Or this team, for that matter.
Fassel
Well, he did get the Giants to the Super Bowl.
On the other hand, what kind of a nutcase actively solicits a job like the Raiders head coach?
Tim Kawakami reported last week that Jim Harbaugh might be interested in leaving Stanford for the Raiders job.
Jim Harbaugh
was 100% assumption. I don’t think Jim Harbaugh actually actively looked for the job.
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
Harbaugh has remained silent on the subject

Vomit
I don’t get this defense.
How can they lock it down one week and look like amateurs the next?
Hell, sometimes it switches from one opponent’s possession to the next.
Williams just tackled Eugene and Ginn scored:
I didn’t quite see who missed the first one

Un
Fucking Real. WHY WHY WHY WHY doesn’t he throw the ball away?
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
He didn't have a shot:
The safety blitzed and was on him in a split second. Stewart completely wiffed on his man
But when they start scheming us the way these guys did, and we weren't particularly ready for it, anything can happen."

well our Defense
is doing it’s job. But it doesn’t help if we have 0 and they have 7
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
I'd like to go one series
without a sack
DO YOU HEAR THAT OFFENSE LINE?
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
At least we ripped the ball away. Turnover!
by GoldenStateGuerrero on Nov 16, 2008 10:45 AM PST reply actions
Yeh
it’s a good play, but it’d be better if we were in their territory.
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
How
can you be a “veteran” QB and still not be able to handle the ball.
by GoldenStateGuerrero on Nov 16, 2008 10:47 AM PST reply actions
3rd and 20
And we hand it off
Then again when your QB blows the first play that badly, I can’t say that it’s necessarily a bad idea.
if we lost like 45-24 or something like that
i would actually be happy because we would actually be moving the ball…
Lets Go Silver n Black!!
The Raiders are hanging around:

it's painful
but I just can’t stop watching
i can not believe that we have only
scored 2 touchdowns the last 5 1/2 games….TWO
Lets Go Silver n Black!!
He's not
even callling the plays!
Look @ the home page of this blog.
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
I know he is not calling the plays
Im saying his plays are not getting receivers open and his whole book is garbage
Wack To Mack With The General and The Back. (J-Mac and D-Mac)
Lofton
should be working w/ them to get open
There is ZERO comunication in this franchise.
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
So during the press conference
are going to hear “We’re working on the penalties” bull shit?
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
Our vest offense was their defense

I really fucking wish
Russell would stop over throwing. this is his 10th week this season now. COME THE FUCK ON
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
Great minds think alike
His nuclear powered arm is useless if he can’t complete a pass to anyone down the field.
gotta keep challenging deep
maybe we’ll get a lot of interference calls…there secondary is terrible
Lets Go Silver n Black!!
Curry
used to be that man.
PORTER was that man. Never should have gotten rid of him
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
its sad when our TE is our deep threat lol
Lets Go Silver n Black!!

What's really upsets me
is Walter found all these other Raiders WR’s last week And Russell can’t find more than 2.
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
AND WE PUT
3 on the board…
no seriously! We have all 3 RB’s let’s fucking shove it in there for 7
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
That's the last place to do it
when you have 3 Runners that can shove it in, now we gonna rely on the powerarm miss
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
What about those penalties Cable?
Working on all that?
And is the ref drunk? He can’t call a penalty right yet
And of course Harris is back in and fucking up
PUT IN HENDERSON DAMMIT ALL TO HELL
no such thing in oak town
Lets Go Silver n Black!!

There
was until Cable became Head Coach.
Apparently multi tasking is not in his ability.
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
omg
tony steward is a fag. getting our prize back stress.
Wack To Mack With The General and The Back. (J-Mac and D-Mac)
HOW HOW HOW HOW
CAN WE FUCK UP YET ANOTHER REDZONE OPPURTUNITY. The odds have to be in our favor eventually.
Do you think, Cable, it may be something to fucking work on?
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
how are we still
blaming Knapp? I doubt he even designed half those plays in the book.
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
So
We call a halfback pass
and people forget to, you know……go out for a pass
One thing is for sure: This isn’t Russell’s fault or Cable’s fault or Knapp’s fault or the O-Line’s fault or the receivers fault.
It takes a true team effort to fuck up this badly.
It's Russell
for not getting rid of the ball. And not being accurate.
It’s Cable for not working on the o-line
It’s Cable for calling stupid plays
It’s Al for putting us in this position.
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
Really Stupid

it also could be the closest we get to the endzone again this game
Lets Go Silver n Black!!
by TuLoRocks2008 on Nov 16, 2008 11:11 AM PST up reply actions
atleast the Chiefs are more fun to watch than us
they do things like go for it in this situation….take chances…what do we have to lose??
Lets Go Silver n Black!!
Guys
we are like the only team that doesn’t have fun all game long. it is sad
Wack To Mack With The General and The Back. (J-Mac and D-Mac)
Russell to Miller is our One trick pony:
The rest of the offense can’t even get the snap count or play call right!?!?! Yet, somehow it is only 3-7
But when they start scheming us the way these guys did, and we weren't particularly ready for it, anything can happen."

Dolphins are gonna storm down the field and get those 3 points back right away
