Oakland Raiders Game Thread 11-23-08: Oakland at Denver
Is this our Super Bowl? Will today be the day that this team snaps out of a 6 year hangover?
I don't have the answers to either of those questions, but, I do have hope.
I HOPE that JaMarcus steps up and that the defense will continue to give the offense a chance to win the game.
There has been talk that Shanahan will not go after Nnamdi, by the Rat himself, then that just says to the Raiders that the Broncos may go directly after him. Personally, I'd like to see that. I'd like to see Cutler, Marshall and Royal take it to Nnamdi 8-10 times today. Then I'd also like to see a pick or two and 5-6 passes defensed. They can get a couple catches on him, but he'd win the War. Once again, I'd like to see someone go after Nnamdi. I mean, let the kid play! This is NOT unlike the pitchers NOT pitching to Bonds when he was on a tear. I just want to scream, "Pitch to Nnamdi!!!".
Anybody who can make Nnamdi Asomugha a household name must be one damn good Football player, we just don't really get to see him play.
I also HOPE that Darren McFadden is healthy. If he is healthy, then he should be a large part of the offense today.
Who else here would like to see a little Wild Hawg today? Show of hands?
I HOPE that the Raiders win today...Will they? According to recent history...Probably NOT...But they CAN....
GO RAIDERS!!!!

Stop giving the ball to Fargas.
I am soo sick of him being bad. The future is Bush/McFadden. Five them the fucking ball!

Cause he is.

Oh wow Fargas for -1.
What a surprise.

Why are you knocking
him today?
Usually Fargas is power down hill runner.
McFadden is the one that fumbled, and trips, and usually gets stuffed. And Bush…well I can’t say cuz he never plays.
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
Fargas 3.6 yards per carry
are awesome.

He's a good
running back.
Better than a 1 legger that won’t ever play for us and we should trade and McFadden.
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
Give DMac 20 carries and
see how much better he is than Fargas.

Dmac will trip
cuz he sucks. and he fumbled more than any other RB we have.
Yeah, he was a great pick in the draft.
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
Yeah ok. Whatever you say.
DMac and his 5.1 yard per carry isnt as good as only had one decent year and gets hurt all the time Fargas.

Well
if he got stuffed ALL THE TIME last week and other weeks after Fargas got them down field.
so whatever. you like the fumbler good for you.
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
Hes fumbled 2 times this year.
Fargas has once. So whatever you say.

You dont?
Hes got plenty of potential. Cable just needs to take the training wheels off.

Yeah
we tried that. Remember when Knapp was calling play and we came out passing? how long are you gonna rely on the training wheels analogy?
And he SUCKS. He can’t do a short pass. He ALWAYS overthrows. He never gets rid of the ball and takes the sack.
Come on. He’s played long enough that we can’t call him a rookie any more and there are things he just needs to learn. He’s a 68 million dollar bust. Fuck. Walter had the same amount of offense yardage in the 1st 1/4 of the Carolina game as Russell did all game in Atl. Russell is not a good QB or a good leader.
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
Yeah give up on him 14 games or so into his career
where hes has no offensive help. Good idea. Took Eli Manning 3-4 years become what he is. Knee Jerk much?

here? WHY CAN’T OUR O-LINE EVER PROTECT ANYONE AND OPEN ROUTES

In this case, they're going for it on 4th down
which means they’re settling for 0.

could handle a short pass….or a not overthrow for that matter when it matters.

Yeah
whatever.
And last year he hand 1000 yds in like 11 starts. Yeah he’s horrible.
But your boy right there didn’t make the first down. Did he? Fargas up the middle for 12. McFadden can’t go 3.
wow.
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
Ok Im donw with you.
You obviously arent smart enough to argue intelligently.

how lame is our offense?
how sad can we be, not being able to get one freakin’ yard!
Yup.
That’s the story of the Raiders.
If we had a good QB that could do a dump pass, we could mix it up a little and keep the Defense honest.
