Kansas City Star Website Predicts Win

http://www.kansascity.com/491/story/910443.html

They think they'll beat Oakland at home with McFadden healthy and back in the lineup. Yeah right. This overly biased site thinks that being tied for 10th in the league in sacks is "modest" They think that their crummy offense can beat a very talented Raider defense. As long as Oakland shows up wanting this win (which they should) we'll win this easy. hey predict 14-12 Chiefs, I predict 31-10 Raiders. Yes I know that's the same score as the Broncos game, but that's just my predict.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

What a bunch of HOMERS!!!!

But when they start scheming us the way these guys did, and we weren't particularly ready for it, anything can happen."

I am Confident

we will win. But let’s not get overconfident. We need to work hard to get this win.

This is the same

team that beat SD and came close in other games. And they’re gonna be mighty pissed coming into our stadium after we embarassed them in theirs. We can and probably will beat Kansas City AS LONG as we don’t get over confident with the win @ Denver. Big head will destroy us. Hopefully the Raiders spent this entire week planning for this game and are not just thinking, “oh well it’s only KC and we beat Denver..”

they didn't beat SD

they beat Denver in a close game at KC.

Just Win!!!

Kansas City doesn’t have what it takes to get that win. On the other hand, Jamarcuss coming off his best game yet 10/11 passing is building confidence. Mcfadden will run all over Kansas City defense being healthy now. Also with Chris Johnson replacing DeAngelo Hall has made all the difference in the pass defense game. The Raiders are back and the drive to win on Black Sunday!!!!

We have to contain the run

and force Thigpin to pass. We have a good chance of winning this one and the San Diego game as well.

This is a very big game for the Raiders

If they come out and flop, then the Denver win means nothing, but if they score a couple of offensive TD’s, control the ball, dominate on D, then the Denver game might have been a turning point. If you look back over the past 3 or 4 years they have not really had a good win against a decent team until the Denver game. Yes, they won handily in KC this year and Miami last year but most of their wins were squeakers, and somewhat lucky. True they have lost a lot of unlucky games also. But a solid win on Sunday then perhaps this team has finally turned the corner. Russell is looking better and better, McFadden is getting healthy so there is some reason for hope and maybe even a little optimism. There is a really good chance that Denver and SD will lose this weekend, so a win for the Raiders will cast a little hope their way, let’s hope they take that next step.

Well Spoken

I’m very optimistic about this week’s game. But if the Raiders come out thinking they’ll win easy, then flop, last week’s win will seem like nothing more than a fluke, like an “any given Sunday” type of game. Maybe how the Raiders handle the good times will say as much about them as how they handle the bad times.

I predict the score to be

close to a shut out. but think about this, there are many teams that have gone from the bottom to the top and vise-versa. So underestimating the opponent might be our unfortune downfall.

All-Pro

Absolutely, Nnamdi must be voted All-pro this season and I think he will finally because he seems to be getting great and well deserved respect from other players and coaches this season.

It looks like it will be Nnamdi and Lechler as the Raiders representatives for that honor.

I doubt Asomugha will get the vote

you still have to get votes from people and too many people think that “if it’s a Raider, then he sucks”. But we can hope.

I would be supremely shocked

if the Raiders go into this game overconfident. Now if this was a non-division contest, I could see a letdown from last Sunday, but thankfully, that is not the case. So the chances of them coming out flat (a la Atlanta) should be pretty slim.

I dare not predict a blowout, because that is simply not the norm when these two teams meet.

I'm here to talk about the past.

You’re expecting the Raiders to be consistent from game to game and they’ve always shown the opposite. Granted we’ll probably beat KC @ OAK but still. We do tend to self destruct.

I think you misunderstood

I wasn’t expecting the Raiders to be consistent (though I was surely hoping). I merely said I would be shocked if they were overconfident. Which, by the way, I don’t think was the issue today. Questionable play-calling, yes. Overconfidence, no.

I'm here to talk about the past.

I do see

your point there. I guess it wasn’t over confidence. Just stupidity.

Now

after the 1st half of the KC @ OAK game do you understand what I mean? A stupid fake field goal early in the game. Just kick it. And going for it on 4th and 3 early in the game on KC 22….kick the field goal. It could be 9-3 Oakland.
