Asomugha vs. Johnson
In the final home game of the season, the game within the game will probably be more exciting than the game itself. Nnamdi Asomugha is the best cornerback in the NFL, and in my opinion, he's going up against the best recevier in the NFL in Andre Johnson of the Houston Texans. This should be a great game within the game to watch. So, I ask the question: who is going to win the battle within the battle?

I vote none of the above.
Nnamdi probably won’t be matched up against him. Chris Johnson will see alot of him on sunday.

I'd also vote none of the above
They just won’t throw Nnamdi’s way, regardless who’s he’s covering. They don’t have to. They’ll probably just have Slaton run the ball, then throw over the middle or the opposite side of the field from Nnamdi. Then, when the game’s over, some of the players will praise Nnamdi’s skills and tell him he’d look great in a Texan’s uniform next year.

You called it!!!
But when they start scheming us the way these guys did, and we weren't particularly ready for it, anything can happen."

if matched up on him (good point Raider76)
than I say Nnamdi wins it. But he’s right it’ll be Johnson covering Johnson.

Nnamdi is awesome
But I don’t think there is anyone who can single cover AJ right now. Look at his highlight reel on NFL.com – there’s one catch where Finnegan has him covered and ‘Dre just outjumps him to get the ball. He’s too big, too strong, too fast and runs perfect routes. Any corner in the league is going to need help against him.
That’s no diresepect to Asamugha, who is possibly the best corner in the league. I think it’s just a case of Johnson being unstoppable.
The bad news for opponents is that if you key on Johnson and double-team him, Kevin Walter will eat you alive.
We (the Texans) may suck at defense, but we have a very good offense.

Even if it's Nnamdi on Johnson
I expect the Raiders to roll over safety help to them because they don’t want to get blown up for millions of yards by a guy who just had a 200 yard game.
I think Asomugha is a great corner, but, I don’t expect him to be covering Johnson alone. And if he does shut Johnson down without safety help then hey, he’s a really good goddamn corner.
Really though, I expect it to be Slaton that goes off on this game.

agreed
watched him in college a lot (people still talk about him here in WV) and Slaton is killer. A lot of speed and big frame. Great receiving. He’s like a bigger McFadden. I wish Slaton the best throughout his career, but I hope he has a bad game against the Raiders. I’m happy with him exploding on any other team.

I know this makes me sound like a bad fan but
I actually would like to see Oakland lose. I want us to lose the next two games so we can get a better draft. I know I’m probably the only one thinking that, but I’d like to see Crabtree, Harvin, or a good OT in silver and black.

I don't know why but
I have a good feeling about this draft.

How
can you have a good feeling as long as Davis is still calling all the shots?

it's weird but I just think
we’ll draft better this year. this season’s draft was actually pretty good. McFadden is a beast (when he isn’t suffering turf toe), Schilens just had a big game, Scott has played great with 5 sacks (I think), Shields is the only questionable pick but he hasn’t played yet so who knows? With (hopefully) more than four draft picks, Davis might pull a Falcons style draft this year.
