Bill Parcels to the Raiders?!
Theres rumors swirling that Bill Parcels will yet again JET on his team. Word has it that since Wayne Huzeinga is selling his team that Parcels has an opt out clause becasue the sale is goign through. Now you all are probably wonder wtf this has to do wit the raiders? well the RAIDERS are on Parcels radar!!!
This excites me because the guy flat out knows football. If Davis takes a backseat and allows Parcels to come in and bring in some key guys for the trenches this raider team is a competitive team in the AFC west.
We have seen Jruss grow before our very eyes these past few weeks and Micheal bush tore up the bucs today. I think this team is a few key players away from being good. Parcels will bring that with him along with the sense of confidence he always brings.
Im excited about this if it happens we will be the next parcels turn around.
What do you guys say?

that would be amazing
if he came here and turned around the franchise like how he did with miami, but i dont believe davis will just hand over the reigns of his team just like that. i would love it, but until i see davis taking a back seat then its just wishful thinking in my eyes.
we gon' make 'em run, make 'em follow the lead
nelly on the side lines with tricks up his sleeve
in the bay, we go hard cause we playin' for passion
you know who it is, aint no need for askin'
Davis said he was going to bring in a GM
why not Parcells?

I think Parcells
is going to Detroit. And I don’t think Parcells would want to work for Davis. He may value his friendship w/ him too much to work for him.
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
No way.
I think Bill values winning over his friendships. I think the Raiders could be creative like maybe offering him a % of ownership as well, a la Billy Beane and the A’s.
Oakland would have 2 of the brightest GM’s in their respected fields under one roof, errrr stadium.

I agree with Masaryk
The Raiders are years ahead of the lions who have needs at every single position except WR. The Raiders probably will still have a bad season next year (that schedule isn’t fair) but after that we should be getting 7-10 wins per season if we continue to improve as we have and consistency with O-Line continue. Meanwhile the lions will need to have a monster draft to get anywhere anytime soon. Which sounds more promising?

You're going on
the assumption on that all the teams stay stagnant. KC is in shambles, SD and Denver are on their way down and in need of some minor repair. Favre is leaving the Jets probably and maybe their HC too. Andy Reid and McNabb are always shooting themselves in the foot. But I do think the NFC east is something to worry about. Don’t forget Baltimore and NYG and even Phi are going to the playoffs. Now they tend to be picked clean during free agencies and trades if you go to the playoffs.
Then there is us. If the last 3 games are any inclination, JR just may be on the up swing. I still don’t like him, but I’m willing to give him a chance. If we keep Tom Cable (and I’m not sure when I stand on this one) at least we have a game plan and consistency. There is absolutely NO FUCKING WAY you can say we’ll have a bad season next year at this moment in time w/ the current NFL. We have Bush, McFadden, and Fargas so we have the run game taken care of. That’s one goal down. Now we need to get/work with new WR’s and Russell needs to pick up the work ethic. I don’t think our o-line is too far from decent.
our Defense needs more consistency and more rush defense. All this can be done easily with either getting a coach or keeping cable and (in a non-gm scenario) Davis needs to listen. Now if we got a GM, he needs to be able to stand up to Davis and not be a puppet. When is a Raiders schedule ever fair?
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
true, true, and true
but I’m just saying if it were now, I’d say 6-10. Plus the NFC East has been the top NFC conference for about 3 or 4 years now and the AFC North also has it’s traditionally great teams (Steelers, Baltimore, Bengals (if they had Carson Palmer)) I also agree the D SHOULD get better without Ryan’s vanilla play-calling there still needs to be some changes on D with a good fourth DT in the rotation, MLB, FS, nickel/dime corner, and maybe a new DE (still hoping for that Burgess trade)

For some reason I have a bad feeling
about him being our GM or our coach. I can see him and Al losing their friendship because two stubburn people can’t work together.
i dont care
aslong as he comes in here and turns this ship around
Hit the clutch, hit the gear, hit the gas and im GONE!!!
But you miss the point
of if they are arguing and can’t work together, the ship will sink. (ex: Detroit)
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
I hope I am wrong but
my gut feeling tells me otherwise.
I agree this is very doubtful
I think he’ll either go to the Jets or stay in Miami.

Make It Happen AL!
THIS, would be amazing if we landed Parcells. He is a personel wizard.
The one thing we have really lacked in the last 6 years, were QUALITY players and play makers that FIT our ever changing system(s).
With what we already have on the roster, Parcells could really turn this around for us. Look what was on that Miami roster last year….look were they are now.

He would be crazy to leave the great thing hes got in Miami to come to a team where the owner is a fucking IDIOT. There is no way the IDIOT will give up that kind of power. The best we can do is hope and pray that the old fuck dies some time soon so we can get this thing back on track.

personally I don't like to wish death upon people
but I think Al’s finally starting to come around. Two good drafts in a row, some very bad free agent signings but not all bad (Kalimba Edwards being the main good one. Did we draft Chris Johnson because if not he’s on this list too) The only problems Al has are overpaying old guys, and making coaching changes after one year. Davis doesn’t ruin us on purpose, he’s trying to get us back to greatness.
