Around SBN: Tom Brady possibly out for the season Bar-right-arrows

Nmandi signed and ready to roll

All good news out of Raider camp today as Nmandi signed his tender offer of 9.7 million and will be in camp on time. What a "true" professional. Hopefully the Raiders will do him right and get him locked up long term this year.

The Raiders told LaMont Jordan not to show up to camp, and will try to get his situation resolved soon.

Lastly Lane Kiffin believes our #1 wide out will also be ready to participate immediately after his late night Vegas affair.

Looks like everything might start coming together in 2008 !!!!

Respect, for the update

Awesomwahh #21, as I tend to call the man, is the best corner in the league. Everyone knows it. Maybe some who too bloodclot an chat say it so. OAKLAND RAIDERS run the game man.

All I can say is: Thank God

we are starting to play football again. I hate the off seasons, be it baseball, football or basketball, hockey for that matter. It says a lot about Nnambi that he showed up on time, no compelling reason that he had to. Al is pretty good about keeping players he wants so pretty confident that next year Nnambi will be signed long term. We should be getting good reports daily from the various sources, and at first, a minimum amount of negative reporting, after their first loss, all bets are off. For the first time in many seasons they have a favorable schedule, a QB for the future, a possible great runner so no more excuses. Kiffin was quoted many times last year that the 2nd year of a regime change reflects the most improvement, so shut up and do it, Lane.

I apologize for that

I knew it didn’t look right, and also knew the guy who posted had also spelled it wrong but was too lazy to get out of the site and check on the Raider.com site. I make no promises that I won’t spell it wrong again.

All I need to know to spell it

is to check his name on my Myspace friend list. It’s cool being Myspace friends with Nnamdi.

Pay

the man his money. I hope we can sign him long term. He is too good to let go. We shore up our secondary so we can work on our D-Line. Hopefully we can see some blitz packages this year.

by Raider76 on Jul 24, 2008 10:37 AM PDT   0 recs

I am all for more blitz packages as you suggest

Don’t worry, Al will sign him to a lucrative long term contract next year. Al does not lose players he does not want to lose. I would think Nmanbi would want to stay here having played at Cal and all so location should not be a problem.

Nnamdi

wants to win. And if we suck again this year he will ask to be traded to a better team. It better all come together this year because these have been 5 of the worst years of my life for watching Raider football. Also now I believe Huff will have to earn his starting role with the signing of Greg Wesley who could start on almost any team. If Huff has another bad year or just starts off bad, you’ll see Wesley replacing him at FS.

News on Nnamdi's camp

In training camp yesterday, Nnamdi only saw one pass go his way. But that one pass was picked off and was followed by a Nnamdi touchdown. Seems Nnamdi is still going to be a threat this season who many will ignore. I guess even Russell felt better throwing to Hall instead of Asomugha.

Other interesting news:

Kelly was getting a lot of praise from Kiffin during camp. He said he hasn’t lost a step because of injury.

Shields also received a lot of praise. Kiffin said he was quick, very fast. He made a lot of nice catches. Arman apparently hasn’t lost much room for making the roster from his injury. It’ll be very interesting to see who will make the roster between Chaz and Arman. Heck, maybe even both will make the cut.

McFadden had some receiving troubles today dropping two easy dump-off passes. McFadden said he was running before he caught the ball.

Harris is fairing a little better now that contact is allowed. But, I’m still worried. Especially if Ekejiuba can push him back two yards. Ekejibua’s job is to hit returners, not push O-Linemen. Harris is doing a good job with the run though.

Provide link and source

We don’t know if you are quoting a reporter or if this is your own report.

O Ya

About Kelly. I just saw something about him being surprised the the raiders offered him so much money. I think I’m hella late to this though.

Lol

I think everyone and their mom was surprised that we offered Kelly that much money without ever making a pro bowl and not even finishing out the 2007 season healthy. Let’s just hope he earns that fat paycheck he’s getting. If not then we have a long haul ahead of regret. Madden 09 gave him a ridiculous rating of 91 which means the video game has faith in him to become to the player he is suppose to be but time will tell. I hope William Joseph makes an impact and becomes the player he has the potential to be when the Giants drafted him in the first round. Still though I feel really good about this upcoming season and hope Spires works out well so it will free up Burgess to lead the league in sacks again.
