No Respect for the Raiders

Raiders were totally disrespected on NFL LIve

Star-divide

The other day I saw the ESPN NFL Power Rankings going into the 2008 season.  And not to my surprise Oakland was 27th.  But of course NFL Live had to take their shots at the Raiders.  Trey Wingo asked Darren Woodson and James Hasty if there were 5 teams worse than the Oakland Raiders, indicating their ranking of 27th.  So what do they do, they make themselves look like complete idiots.  They emphatically say Oakland is the worst team in the NFL, snickering and laughing as they say it.  ARE THEY OUT OF THEIR MIND?  Nobody in the NFL who knows what they are talking about would say Miami or Atlanta or even the sorry Chiefs are better than the Raiders.  Oakland has sooo much talent on their team and look at how we ran the ball last year.  None of those other teams are even close to us.  Just another day of people taking their shots at the Raiders.  Heres the link, as a Raider fan this truly pissed me off.

all I can say is

what else is new? NFL live is awful to us.

"Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of themselves without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, 'If I live, I will kill you. If I die, You are forgiven.' Such is the rule of honor." Omerta by Lamb of God

This is more of an example of dumbass jockstrap commentary.

It’s proof that just because you played the game doesn’t necessarily mean you know a thing about it.

I can't

wait for us to prove those idiots in the media wrong. They don’t do their research on us. We as fans see the improvement the O-Line has made from 2006 till now. It’s too easy for them to say we are terrible.

actually I think our O-Line is practically 06

except for the fact that it run blocks like crazy. but in terms of pass blocking, it’s crap.

Our sacks

have decreased from 2006 to 2007 but it’s still alot of sacks. I would say alittle better than 2006 but I agree to an extent.

I Don't Believe that the Line is ANYWHERE near 2006:

4 starters have returned (If you count Grove) and we have had the same coach for two years. That is a World of difference.

Yeah

our line will thrive this year because opposing teams won’t know what to look for. McFadden busting a 30 yard dash on the side, Bush sticking it up the middle for 8, or Russell throwing a bomb 60 yards to Walker or Higgins. It may sound crazy but Jeremy Bloom was just released and he is known for his speed so maybe we could sign him to replace Carter because I think Bloom would be as good as Wes Welker in the slot if he can stay healthy.

Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til' I die.

right like Walker could catch that "bomb"

or even Higgins for that matter. Bloom is a must sign. He brings speed to a receiving corps loaded with possession guys. Comparing Bloom to Welker is like comparing Najeh Davenport to Jerious Norwood. They’re two totally different players. Welker is a possession dude while Bloom is a speed threat.

By the way, Bloom can play return man if Branch’s condition doesn’t improve. Sign him for a year and see how things go. What have we got to lose.

P.S. Reports coming in that the Raiders released Jarrod cooper
