Changing Coaches Again

I know this thing about Kiffin being fired is only going to hurt us, Al Davis is the begining and the end of or problems for the past 10 years, He has controled coaches that have left or been fired and then turn out to be good coaches on other teams. He needs to give complete control to the coach and then if we can't win the coach should be fired. If he continues to control then fire head coaches we will be dedicated fans of a losing team.

I'm hoping

that actually he bought himself some time and he can go into the bye week .500 and improve after.

We are going to probably lose against SD. If we run a D like this game, we can beat Buffalo.

don't worry Kiffin is safe for now

It makes no sense for him to be fired after coaching a team that had 300 yards rushing

"Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of themselves without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, 'If I live, I will kill you. If I die, You are forgiven.' Such is the rule of honor." Omerta by Lamb of God

I would agree

but Davis won’t fire him for losing. It’s the insubordination. I posted a link in the game thread somewhere, if you’re interested.

Thanks I will try to find it

It's this

link

Quoted from link (3rd paragraph):

This has nothing to do with a potential 0-2 start, team officials say. This is about Kiffin’s perceived insubordination over the past seven months. He has continually criticized Davis in the media since the NFL owner’s meeting and Davis is fed up with it.

I’m not saying what Kiffin did in the media is right, I’m saying he had no choice. He’s saying it’s not all on him even though it’s his head on a platter. The problem is, he’s a good coach, he’ll be a HC somewhere in the league, play the Raiders and play us hard like Shanahan does out of animosity.

If and when he gets fired

this board, the majority, will say it was a bad decision, which it is. But some, and they know who are they are so I’ll refrain from referring to anyone…will say it was good decision because Al’s the man. But he’s not. He’s out of the time zone. Kiffin called out Ryan, and I really think that made Ryan come out hard today and blitz like a nut case, which is good. Too bad it had to come down to that. But Davis is to stubborn. Ryan barked back but he knew it had to change. Davis won’t change until he leaves and goes to the Raider Nation high above. A man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do.

Here’s another decent write up. I’ve been finding Mercury News the less biased reports on the Raiders.

Thats right

All of this has to be in the open, and a strong leader has no choice but step up and take control as much as he can. Ryan needs to see and react to this problem or he is not a strong leader and should be fired. NOT Kiffin

Keep

Lane Kiffin. Al Davis would be retarded to fire him. Changing coaches every year doesn’t help a team, especially one with a quarterback that needs to grow and develop under one coach

Interested in your job

So listen, if you go to work everyday with a boss you do not agree with how much enthusiam do you show, Kiffin is human and as much as he loves to win and likes the players he coaches, this situation as a negative effect. Al is the complete problem, with him out of the picture this team will change 360

I like Davis

but it is time for him to ease up on his power trip. Kiffin is a good coach and should be allowed to run the team his way. You can’t just give a coach some players (without his approval) and say run this team. He needs to bring in his own players to run the system he wants so he can be successful. It’s not fair to Kiffin to bring in players who might not fit his system. It’s like bringing in Shaq (not a Suns fan) to a team that likes to run up and down the court. Shaq’s a good player but a bad fit for the team.
