A little Nervous......as a Bornco Fan

Hello Oakland fans!

Just so you know right off the bat I am a die hard Broncos fan.  I want to apologize for the ridiculous trash talk from other Broncos fans that gets tossed around.  Although I must admit that it started with "Saint" coming over to MHR.  I think that some of the tradh talk being said by both sides is ridiculous but whatever.

Anyway, I would be lying if I said I wasnt nervous about this first game.  I honestly believe that Denver is the better "team" (Oakland may have better paper players in some positions) but the thing with the NFL is anything can happen.  in 2006 Denver was a better team then Miami and lost, in 2007 Denver was a better team the Buffalo and should have lost.  I think the first game is always up in the air and to put that game in Oakland and on Monday night makes it a GREAT start to the year but also dangerous.  I think whichever team wins will get off to a good start to the season but a loss could send things spiriling downward quickly.

I just hope for a good game and I do believe that Denver will win something like 24-17.  I really like some of the pieces that you guys have and I think we have a battle ahead for many years with some of your young guys and ours.  Both teams are going the right way, Denver is just getting there quicker because the managment is a little more sound in their decision making and spending.

Anyway, enjoy the game and I look forward to the Broncos hopefully pulling out a win!

hmmmm

not a bad point of view. I do agree management is slightly more sound, but until you guys go from a zone defense to a man to man you’ll never utilize the full potential of Bly and Bailey. They’re the best corner tandem on paper, but only in a man system because they’re man corners.

We will see.

I didnt start this thread trash talk in the least. I think with a completly objective stance Denver is the better team. They have a little more expereince (not much but enough) and their QB is furhtur ahead in his progression.

I do think this game could go either way but if the better team wins it will be Denver.

I Am Also On The Edge Of My Seat:

Whoever wins on Monday will be catapulted out of the shoot.

If the Raiders beat Denver, then they will be taking their first MAJOR step toward the ultimate goal of dominance in the AFC West, and if Denver comes into Oakland and lays a smackdown on the Silver and Black then the Raiders will be in a larger hole than an 0-1 record would indicate.

If I had

to choose a QB(other than Russell) that I liked in the AFC west , it would have to be Cutler- because I HATE Phillip “Just wet my Diapers” Rivers and I don’t even know who the heck is the Chefs QB….. only based on those facts….

I'm nervous...

That the Raiders will forfeit the game by the second half due to a mercy rule…..Broncos are going to own you in your own crib….I am glad that you finally sold out the game and now the rest of the Bay Area can watch a more merciless beating of your team then what the Chargers did to you a year ago on opening night..

False bravado with no substance

Do you ever post anything other than a stereotypical “we’re better than you,” post?

I haven’t read one post from you breaking down the game, the players or the possible matchups.

I’m guessing you’re the guy in the sports bar sitting in the corner saying “Go Thrower Guy—chuck it to the Pass Catcher Man!” You know, the guy who doesn’t know a thing about football, but poses by using the, “those other guys suck,” school of limited football knowledge.

Maybe for once, you can type an intelligent post on your See n’ Say Elmo edition personal learning computer with something of worth.

We aren't the

same team either. We’ve added star players in every weak spot on the team. This will be our year to shine and take back the AFC west. Russell doesn’t need “progression” to be better than Cutler right now. He was the number 1 overall pick for a reason. Because he was, and is the best player not only at quarterback but in general in that entire draft. He can throw the ball farther than any other quarterback in the entire league and will use that to scare teams early and just pick them apart with short passes all game. Cutler was the third quarterback chosen in his draft class behind Vince Young, and Matt Leinart. These three quarterbacks all equally SUCK so prepare to get dominated on Monday Night Football in Oakland Donkey fans. You’ll be lucky if Cutler even finishes the game after he gets smacked around by our defense early on. Ever since Rich Gannon, Tim Brown, Rod Woodson, Bill Romanowski, Lincoln Kennedy, and Jerry Rice left the Raiders, every year after that in my book has been considered a rebuilding year due to our players being too old. Now we’re built to just win baby. While other teams are committed to losing, the Raider franchise is committed to excellence. Look for the score to be 31-9 Raiders defeating the Donkeys with Cutler having 2 or more picks. Unless of course he gets hurt early and your back up……..Ramsey! ha! comes in and throws 5 picks. Either way Donkeys, you will lose and start 0-1 on the road to getting the number 1 draft choice in the 2009 NFL draft.

Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til' I die.
