Let's go boys

Time for my pre-game speech:

Alright boys, this is it. The big stage. Monday Night Football, the biggest stage this side of the Super bowl, and our first step to getting there. Tonight, the Broncos come in here thinking they’re hot stuff. They feel invincible. And they very well could be, but only if you let em’. Show them what true football is. Play your hearts out. I know you people are constantly reminded of our last five seasons. But this isn’t 06 or even 07, this 2008. A brand new year with a brand new league. Time to show everyone we’re the real deal this year. But don’t just tell yourself that you’re the best, prove it. Play like your life depends on it. If you do that, there’s no way you can lose. Shove the ball down Denver’s throat, get up in their facemask and say, “This is Oakland’s house, you don’t come up in here without leaving feeling like you just got the crap out of you” Don’t let them disgrace the great stadium and tradition of this football team. Send them home with a shattered spirit, and a slight face rearranging.

I’m confident you guys have all the potential in the world to make something out of yourself and this team. If you unleash that potential and play your hearts out, then you’ve made me the proudest fan in the world. Go Raiders!

"Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of themselves without that law is both. If not I would be at the Stadium right now tailgating and getting ready to see my Raiders do it live on MNF…. when I come back home in December, I am hoping the Raiders are like 9-3 or something like that… But it all starts right now!! MNF- I am Ready for some Raiders!!! Black hole, Darth Raider, Gorilla Rilla, Mount Davis, D-Hall, D-Mac, Coach Kiff, even Good ol’ Al Davis… This is Football Baby, and this is Oakland. Lets leave this game on top of the AFCWest division!! RRRRAAAAIIIIDDDDEEEERRRRSSSS!!!!

and as much as I love the raiders, I hate the broncos a little more so it was wonderful seeing that your run defense is still horrible, your running attack is much worse this year, and your entire future is on the shoulders of a diabetic little fag who likes to get drunk at frat parties. That is a recipe for disaster.

by BoulderBrian on Sep 8, 2008 11:16 PM PDT up reply actions

If we're so bad Brian...

…what does that say about your team?

As for the rest of you guys, better luck next week. You got a good game in on us last year, and this year it was our turn. I still think the raiders will improve their record over last season. I agree with some of the comments upthread about Al Davis. He isn’t letting his coaches coach, and he’s spending way too much for what the coach isn’t asking for. When you change coaches and QBs every year, and don’t trust your people, you can’t have success.

Best of luck from here on out (except against Denver).

Try to talk trash after you watched your team pounded into submission, face the facts:

41-14 Scoreboard biaaaatcchhhhh!

And that could of easily been 49-0 if we wanted it to be, face it,Cutler is going to be the top QB in the AFC for a long time, we acrved up your vaunted secondary with a rookie and some retread WR, and your offense may be able to run the ball, but obviously this ain’t the NCAA and you can’t run a wishbone attack in this league, so you are going to have another long and miserable season as a Raider fan.

I wasn't going to say anything tonight

But that last comment pissed me off. What if your child had diabetes? Would you be making fun of it then? It is a very serious disease that has LIFE THREATENING implications. That comment was just low class. I guess that’s what I should expect from a raider fan. When did Jay get drunk at frat parties? Even if he did, he was in college three years ago. EVERYONE in college goes to at least one or two frat parties and gets wasted, is that a crime? Even if it is, I have heard no stories about Jay getting drunk at frat parties. Don’t be mad because he and a ROOKIE destroyed your supposed best secondary in the NFL. Have fun in a few weeks when you guys have to come into Denver and face B-marsh AND Royal. Before you guys come into a Bronco blog and try to talk a lot of trash like many of you did before this game, take a good look at your team and make sure that it is a good team. The media was reporting that this team wasn’t practicing well, that they were not coming together as a team, and all of you said that it was media B.S. and that the raiders were gunna crush the Broncos tonight, well it looks like you got crushed and that you can put your foot in your mouth now. Thank you and good night. I hope in Denver that you at least make the game interesting this year.

I wasn't making fun of diabetes dipshit....

I was just saying that the QB, who is the future of your franchise, has diabetes (a serious disease as you pointed out) and putting the future of the broncos squarely on his shoulders is a recipe for disaster. Also, I’m a college student in Denver and see him at frat parties every once in a while. I wasn’t talking about back in the day, i’m talking about NOW when he is supposed to be the leader of a NFL team.

I can’t wait to see the broncos fall flat on their face again! This season won’t be good for raiders fans, but given the expectations it will be way worse for the broncos.

It pays to have 'other teams'

when your a doosh bag raider fan poser. How do those stories about your prestigious franchise feel tonight? Warm like an opening night loss to the last sell out crowd your stadium will ever see?

Rough game for the Raider faithful

There are a lot of expectations this year and last night left many fans shaking their heads and left the haters in full glory (like the guy that posted above me). Or these Steeeler jokers SteelyMcStupid If Walker can get in the game and get his head on staight and JMarc can calm down things will improve. the running game is tight. Just win Baby!
