"This is what you get for being optimistic!"

Well..... what can I say? 2-12 on 3rd downs, and fouls in the double digits. No QB protection, and no pass rush. The one thing that we had that I thought was the strength of the team proved to be the thing that killed us, the pass defense. D.Hall, and Asomugha, and the rest of the secondary are to blame for this implosion. Eddie Royal looked like Jerry Rice last night in his first game, and it was mostly to blame on the secondary. I have a room mate who is a cowboys fan, and he wasn't paying to much attention to what was happening last night, but when he realized that I wanted to kill someone since the Raiders where being embarassed last night he told me something very intersting. He told me. "This is what you get for being optimistic!!" I thought he said exactly what was true..... The whole Raider Nation was optimistic because of what we had on paper! Don't blame Al Davis for this team, because he spent MONEY this offseason. Don't blame #2 for this team, because the whole time he spent on his a**!!! He got no pass protection from the O-line. If you wanna blame someone then blame the O-line, the D-line, the WR corps, and the Secondary. Period.

Optimistic because of the fact that every year I'm excited about my team. If JaMarcus would have more time to throw the ball, then we would be one of the best passing teams in the league. 2 meaningless touchdowns in the 4th Quarter, but at least JaMarcus got his touchdowns. I thought Discipline was what Kiff was trying to instill in this team?? Penalties in the double digits???

I am still optomistic because I can be. I think we can come out of the bye week in week five at a 2-2 record. I can't wait to play the Donkeys again because I loved all the smack talk!! Between Donkey week and Chef week, I can't choose which one I love the most, and I get a chance to do more smack talk this week!! I think that we needed this loss so that this team could get a good look at reality. If we can get it together then the Raiders will be the ones with the blowout score next time we play the donkeys.

Donkeys fans: I'll give you props like I said I would. I hate your team, but I'll give you guys the props you deserve today. You guys played a flawless game with a WHOLE bunch of help from the Raider O-line and D-line. I can't wait till we meet again in Denver so maybe, just maybe we can whip your backsides in Denver. I'll be optimistic about the Raiders till I die!! I am just waiting for this week, and the Chefs...I'm sure we'll win, I guess that's the optimism again....
