Commitment to Sucking

Dont get me wrong I am a devoted Raiders fan and will always love the Silver and Black but at this point in time and since our loss to Tampa in the Super Bowl. 25 and 77 I believe since that point are you serious? What the hell is that. Thats garbage thats what that is. How can your motto be Commitment to Excellence when you can barely win three or so games a year. I believe a better motto would be Commitment to Inferiority. Look at out recent drafts. Thanks to Big Al and his velour jump suits we have passed on some serious studs and ended up with overhyped, overpaid bottom dwellers. Jamarcus was great in college. Look how that turned out. He blows and we dont even have a suitable backup. Better yet I keep hearing from the coaching staff on espn about how they see him improving and getting better. where the hell is the improvement. christ I could go out right now without a day of practice and put up numbers like his. Its sickening. Coulda had AD but no we want a QB to bomb it 70 yards to recievers that cant catch. Jamarcus is in ryan leaf territory and hes to fat to care. Robert Gallery? Really we coulda had Larry Fitzgerald.  Next point, Darrius Heyward-Bey?????? Seriously only some one with their eyes closed and completely out of touch with the times takes him over Crabtree, Maclin, even Nicks for christs sake. Run DMC? love the man. Why the hell does he only carry the ball six times?? Where is the logic there. No lets give it to fargas who couldnt fight his way out of a wet paper bag. Our offensive line? Jesus where do I begin. Did they play in college? Did they learn to block for the run or the pass? Where did we find these clowns? And I am sick of hearing how we have new schemes and new coaches all the time and blah blah blah. Thats Big Als fault and thats why the man needs to be removed as owner. We are the most dysfunctional team in the NFL and its sickening. Its time for a change and it needs to be him. Thats all i got right now. comment so I know how everyone else feels. Nnamdi I love you for stayin man but honestly I woulda bolted town. Gotta look out for number one. And the Raiders are gonna get you nowhere fast. except back in the top ten in the Draft.Oakland Raiders

A new level of sucking.....

Man, you hit the nail on the head. Russell is terrible. I want to know what the practices look like. Does he just SUCK on sundays and blow everyone away with accurate throws duing the week? Do the coaches see what we see when its gametime? Please put Gradkowski in. Hell, Even Frye. At least it will look like someone cares about making a change. I agree with you on all points dimez32, Except I want Nanmdi to stay. Im suprised he hasn’t left but without him I have no Player’s Jersey to represent. (can’t wear a Punter’s Jersey, I’d lose my NFL Fan card) Here’s to a heart attack removing Davis from office.

What's wrong w/ Gallery?

He’s an anchor on our o-line now. He hasn’t been doing anything the last 2 games cuz….welll………he has a broken leg.

I don’t understand why everybody hates on him so much now that’ he’s solid in his new position.

'Cuz the Raiders didn't draft him as a guard.

I like Gallery too, and I don’t critisize him. But the Raiders drafted him high to be a dominant left tackle and he’s become a competent guard which most teams can get in lower rounds or as inexpensive free agents or off waiver wires. I think people pick on him due to the expectations of being such a high draft choice.

I would go out and get a good O-Line man in the Draft

We don’t need another QB,RB,CB, or WR what we need is experience and The only way to obtain that is through consistency. Would Russell and the Offense do better learning a whole different Playbook I think that Coach Cable has this team going up not super fast but it will go up give the guy a chance at least a roster with all the starters and 1 season why not why do we have to win Right NOW! I know as a Raider Fan it sucks everyone talks shit about your team without knowing anything about them I am sure Getting rid of Cable would not be a wise choice.

Amazing, Jamarcus Russell hands off to McFadden who pitches it back to Russell who finds Darrius Heyward Bey in the Middle of the Field wide open 30, 20,10,5 Touchdown Raiders! Amazing. This telecast is Brought to you by Cable.

I don't understand where you see all this is going to happen.

Russell sucks and is regressing. He shows no leadership, no pocket presence, and he’s not even getting better. Cable doesn’t trust him or we’d open up some really good pass plays.

Yes, the WR’s are rookiles, so I’ve been leaving them alone for the most part. But Russell isn’t even doing good to Miller.

Unless you’re watching different games than we are, this team is not going up any where.

The only thing worse than being disappointed fan is listening to a fan that’s so delusional he doesn’t have a clue (yup that’s you)

Not Really

It may be that I am looking at bright side there are many dull plays and ugly childish plays I have seen from the Silver and Black but what I didn’t see from J-Russ any Picks from the NYG one of the best D’s in the league some of those fumbles were his fault but other were completely on the line I mean Mike you go back to that game and average QB get at least 5 secs before he knows he has to throw it I would say 3 of those fumbles came within the first 2 secs How can a QB look down the field and hit a WR in less than 2 secs come on we needed protection and we didn’t get it. J-Russ is a rookie to me still who did he have to teach him. These are what other great QB’s had. Tony Romo had Vinny Testaverdy, Tom Brady had Drew Bledsoe, Drew Brees had Doug Flutie, JaMarcus Russell had…Josh McCown? J-Russ should not be throwing the ball of target by 10 yards that’s his fault but other than those stupid throws he has been solid. We need Vets on the Offense. I would love to see Jerry P back here he was amazing then we can get rid of Walker but lets put Walker in the game first right? Thus J-Russ is not Peyton Manning nor is he Ryan Leaf he is TBD.

Even you're pointing out the reasons why he's being called a possible bust
J-Russ should not be throwing the ball of target by 10 yards that’s his fault but other than those stupid throws he has been solid

No. He. Has. Not.

He has NO pocket presence, he doesn’t talk w/ the coaches on the slideline, he does’nt really the troops. He doesn’t make good decisions. He throws in to double and tripple coverage. And he still hasn’t worked on the accuracy. He’s still way high or way low. I’d be a little happier if he stopped overthrowing or trying to dig to China. He’s not a good QB right now. Will he be? Maybe. He’s not starting material that’s for sure. He’s apparently getting fined for missing meetings and being overweight. So no he’s not solid. He’s not even having come back plays any more like he did in SD and KC.

Even Al Davis, the guy who owns the team, pays the guy, and drafted him says he’s not doing good.

So if by solid you mean he walks on the field and 1 minute late walks off the field, then yup he’s solid. Show me where he’s solid. And the “it’s only his 3rd year” excuse doesn’t work any more. He should be reading the field by now and finding an open WR and nailing him. Not throwing it so far hover his head even Inspector Gadget and his “go go gadget” arms couldn’t reach it. When your Head Coach, QB coach, AND OWNER OF THE DAMN TEAM say you’re not getting it, you are anything but freaking solid. And I can’t believe your still using the “Russell is a rookie” excuse. You are delusional.

We are consistent

we consistently hire bad coaches.

I'm gametime_gsw, and I approve this message.

We also consistently lose

Eh. I think Kiffin had potential

just didn’t know what he was getting into. But yeah, Davis is hiring puppets, that’s it. And when they stand up and have an independent idea he makes them look bad and you get the Kiffin disaster.

I liked Kiffin

Until I found out he didn’t really give a fuck about us at least we were in the games.

What makes you think he didn't care?

I think he did care initially, but once he figured out that the odds were against him and that he was in over his head, he used the situation to move up, well up for him any way.

He was right about Russell, any way, despite your delusions.

Yeah

But he also wanted to draft Brady Quinn. We’d have been no better off. Kiffin was and is still just a college coach.

by rightnasty on Oct 18, 2009 10:09 AM PDT up reply actions

WIN

We need one Veteran play-maker on Offense. At least one. Lorenzo Neal would have been Godsent if he wasn’t holding a injury, like Walker that never did anything in Silver n Black.

I agree at least one

Maybe put Seymour as Tackle

Commitment to Inferiority

That’s the name of one of my fantasy teams; like the Raiders, they have a 1-4 record.
