Round 2: Since The Game On Sunday Is Blacked Out...

Real quick before the Cable press conference:

I am a little confused by the NFL's blackout rules, I understand if you don't sell out by Wednesday the game is blacked out Sunday.

But it was suppose to be like that last week right?

I watched the game at a bar in San Ramon ( El Balazo ) and the game was on TV there. I know they have NFL Sunday Ticket but that is still local isn't it.

Also the game last week was on FOX, usually the Raiders are on CBS.

So is the reason the Raiders game last week was on is because it was on FOX and El Balazo has Sunday Ticket?

NFL blackouts are ridiculous

I also watched the game on NFL Sunday Ticket despite living in the blackout zone. The game against the Broncos was also shown.

Blackout

It is kind of confusing. Here is a link to up to date black out info and an explanation of the blackout policy.

I haven’t a clue if I did that link right, but I am sure you can cut and past the important part.

so here's how the sunday ticket works

if you have sunday ticket, you basically have access to all the games, period. if you don’t have it, then your local cbs and fox channels show another game. I’m here in Modesto Ca so i’m in the blackout zone for the Oakland Raiders games. The game that was on my local channel was the Pats/Titans game. Since Philly played here in Oakland, it was obviously played on whatever local station is in Philly. Just the same as when Oakland plays away games, it’s on my local channel here. when the home games are blacked out, the Modesto Sportsbar and Grill have the game on because they have Sunday ticket. So the feed isn’t actually a local channel. Does that help?

Doesn't matter for me

They never show the games where I am regardless of whether or not it’s a blackout…and I live right next to LA
