McFadden Out 2-4 weeks:

Link to ESPN article here:

A starter hasn't been named, yet, but, it probably means that Michael Bush will be the featured back and get the majority of the carries.

This is not bad since he was barely used in that Texans game. It might give the running game some spark ,I dunno.

Saint's Comments:

This is a big blow to a team that has to be realing after falling into an absolute abyss. I also read that Zach Miller and Cornell Green are out for Sunday's game. Man, when it rains it pours!

Its becoming painfull

to be a raiders fan i still only root for the raiders and eagles but im almost done with the nfl

we need to fire every coach, every gm,make al davis resign, burn the field, burn the playbooks, burn more books, burn the jerseys, move to a new stadium in oakland, sign Mike Shannanananannanananannan, stop losing to bad teams, and gain some self respect back. i cant even comprehend how this team has become by far the worst in the NFL with only the chiefs in competition for the title!

LETS GO RAIDERS START WINNING FOR NO REASON AT ALL!

YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD YES!

Aren't you going a little over board?

Davis does need to step down and stop meddling, then we need to start scouting properly.

It is true that the O line

is largely to blame for our running woes, but also true that McFadden cannot break a tackle and goes down too easily. I have preferred that Bush start and soften up the defense, then turn McFadden lose on the corners. I just think Bush runs a lot harder, is able to break tackles and a much better inside runner.

The problems are all around

Defenses know two things:

1. JaMarcus is not accurate with his passes.

2. If JaMarcus gets a pass off, the receiver will most likely drop the ball because of the power in the throw or the inexperience in the receiver.

Because of this, Defenses against us are made pretty cut and dry: stack nine in the box to stop the run and convince JaMarcus to pass under duress.

The only thing I can think of for the young JaMarcus and the offense to combat this is to use more West Coast-type plays for short yardage and tell JaMarcus not to zip the hell out of the ball. Spread it out wide and force defenses to adapt to the spread of the ball. Of course, the O-line has to do its job and BLOCK FOR JAMARCUS!! It is sickening to see how short he has to pass the damn ball. If they can’t open holes for Bush to run through, can they at least stop all the rushers? A bottom feeding Texan D was able to get to him so easily!

Play with some fucking pride guys!

Zach Miller

The Raiders expect Zach Miller to play in Week 5 against the Giants despite his Week 4 concussion.

The head injury wasn’t severe. Miller still hasn’t come close to equaling his 96-yard effort from Week 1 and is on pace to haul in just 44 catches for 584 yards on the season. Blame the Raiders’ offense, not Miller’s ability.

QUIT CRYING!!!!!

For all you people talking about moving on, then be gone already! That is just the attitude we are trying to change on the field, and even here you display such a poor sense of dedication. We have been through the worst 100 game stretch in history no doubt, but to use this as an excuse to exhibit your false love for the Raiders cannot be forgiven. Those of us who stick it through these times with our love and dedicatioon in tact for what we call OUR OAKLAND RAIDERS will one day reap the rewards of knowing we have overcome and survived the worst together.
GO RAIDERS GO!!!!

P. S. Jamarcus Russell SUCKS!!!

Rankin loss will be felt

Now we are down to just Bush and Fargas. Very poor roster management from the front office. They should have taken the low-risk path by waiving Bowie instead of Rankin, then moving Jonathan Holland from the practice squad to the 53. After, they could have decided between Holland and Justin Miller. Now Rankin is on the Seahawks roster and the Raiders are short a RB. With Fargas’ fragility, he could be gone at any moment, leaving just Bush.

Gary Russell is still out there, so the Raiders better move on and pick him up this week. Of course with the offensive line playing the way they are, Adrian Peterson would have a hard time finding yards. The good news is that Pears will be replacing Green at right tackle and Gallery will be back for the Philadelphia game.

Your team is your child...You love it no matter what.

I was trying to figure out who we would ring in as well...

I doubt we will get anyone for next week, but Fargas has a history of getting injured as well. Can you signed someone off of another teams practice squad?….I guess I’m still a bit bitter we cut ties with Rankin.

Well, McFadden’s production last Sunday was a truly impressive -5 yards. Bush may give the team a spark, but I don t know how successful he can be against the Giants defense. Also, has anyone else heard that the Houston defense had a SWINE FLU problem?? If this is true, the Raiders offense should hang their heads in shame.

I like Darren McFadden, but this injury won't really matter to the offense.

The O-coordinator (do the Raiders have one?) keeps calling for McFadden to run right up the middle. With his speed you have to get him out in space where he can make moves and break away from defenses. Until the Raiders stop utilizing McFadden incorrectly, it won’t really matter that we have him.

It’s a bit like having Peyton Manning and calling passes into the flats and quarterback draws constantly.

The more you try to erase me, the more that I appear.

Im not sure

but its possible that hes giving mcfadden those inside plays because he broke those alot in college, but his line doesnt seal off the defenders so he gets hit for those 2 yard gains.

by madmavmathews on Oct 6, 2009 6:33 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

I think that

this could be where Mcfadden loses his job if Michael Bush shows up and gives us some solid positive yardage. And puts us in a position to be more competitive. Maybe a miracle win too :)..but ill be dissapointed if Fargas gets most of the carries.

by madmavmathews on Oct 6, 2009 6:37 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

He's a running back, alright...

he keeps running back to the trainers. So, now that Run-C the MD is gone, Bush should get more carries, and possibly the starter’s spot. As for Deadcarcass Russell, there has to be one live body who has an accurate arm, a good, solid work ethic, and who cares, who can step in and get things done.

by tbone64 on Oct 7, 2009 12:27 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Maybe Bush will get some carries

But it will probably be 25 carries by Fargas up the middle for a gain of 1 yard. MacFumble is not proving to be a number 1 rb anyway, give Bush the ball, remember Tampa last year?

I wonder, when Cable goes to jail and gets suspended for 2-4 games, will Al be down on the field wearing headphones in his wheelchair calling plays?

J Russ has been spotted at the strip clubs in SF on saturday nights. Now that’s preparation! Way to earn that money! Never mind that fans like us work hard every single day to but tickets just to watch you suck it up.

Tired of this crap.
