5+ Questions?
1. Does it seem from Cable's statement that he is now more concerned about the psyche and development of the whole team than the fact that Russell is the big money high pick qb?
2. I believe that Russell’s erratic accuracy at the beginning of the game ruins the passing games chemistry for the whole game, what do you think?
3. If teams don’t respect the Raider’s passing game with Russell it makes it that much harder to run the ball. It seems that Gradkowski could help the Raider’s run.
4. Is that what Gradkowski is alluding to when he says they shouldn’t have been in that position at the end of the game? He may be lobbying for the start, what do you think?
5. Lastly, if Cable has been forced to follow Al Davis’ directive on Russell so far, then doesn’t that give him a pass on the poor first half – so that he can save his job these next seven games?

Uhhhh...
I dont think #3 is a question…And Gradkowski will manage the game..Alot like Sean Hill did with San Francisco. Or Alex Orton. Just manage the game and and set up the Run

DHB needs to return kickoffs and punts...
Along with McFadden!

Dropped balls equal touchdowns for otherwise poor special teams unit play from the Raiders
Not a good idea at all, until the guy shows he can catch at least a respectable percentage of the balls thrown his way.

No..
McFadden fumbles as too much already. And DHB isnt a return man..It takes more than speed to return kicks

yeah I have recently suggested that McFadden return kicks
but if DHB or McFadden really showed that they had the ability returning kicks for us to be starting drives on the 40 3 or 4 times a game they surely would have tried it.
Our return games was a major part of the offence and took a lot of pressure off of JaMarcus last year which I think is a major reason for the increased interceptions this year. Still not an excuse for JaMarcus playing terrible but he did have that assistance last year. JLH and the return game in general has been a major disappointment this year although Holland has done better since he has been given a chance.

pray for next year to be uncapped
so we can cut Jamarbust loose and draft Ryan Mallet. The dude is a beast, does everything Jamarcus was supposed to do. but Mallet has accuracy, poise, an almost as good arm, and COMMAND of the fucking field. Watch an Arkansas game, everyone. Watch how they do everything our offense is supposed to. Just for the love of god, we cannot let #2 keep control of this offense.

Gerhart
I’m a Cal fan, so I’m partial to Best; however, I think Gerhart is the best running back in the Pac-10. Then again, Best doesn’t carry a full load like Gerhart and does average more yards per rush. Still, Gerhart is a terrific runner and Stanford is looking strong in the years to come.

Give them I.Q. tests
Give all prospects an I.Q. test and begin with the Raider scouts and coaches. Yes, a double-blind multiple intelligence evaluation. Especially if they’re from the southern states.

I'd say yes to #2
and yes, in general, to the idea that JaMarcus makes it very, very difficult to win in so many ways. I don’t really care that DHB dropped the bomb that JaMarcus threw. I don’t care that we might have won had he caught it.
We would have still had yet another game full of errant throws, poor reads, and no real drives down the field. That has been Russell’s record for his entire tenure as QB. So whether he hits a bomb or whether we even win doesn’t really matter.
Until he suddenly transforms into an accurate, semi-mobile, focused, studious QB who can make good reads, lead his teammates, and give us a chance to win, our ass is cooked.
And watching this year, I have absolutely no belief that any of these things will happen. Ever. So if it were up to me I would cut him today and try to win with who I have now, knowing I’d have to get someone better for the future.
Obviously, Gradkowski gives us a much, much better chance to win. That last drive was a perfect example. He made basic plays, scrambled when he needed to, found open receivers. It was a real drive, and under JaMarcus we never, ever see one of those. Even the game-winner against KC early in the season was saved by a critical Roughing the Passer call.

Hilarious! Roughing the passer is his best play!

Big Gain
I don’t think Russell had a bigger gainer than that one.
