"The quarterback's position is 90% mental and 10% physical. I try to simulate the game as much as I can in practice and visualize every play and every defense we could see. In essence I'm playing the game over and over so that no matter what situation happens, I've already played it and can anticipate what will happen."
Jamarcus Russell?
Actually, no. Quote by Drew Brees. Who stands a hair under 6 feet and weighs 205 pounds after a large meal.

Has almost no meaning when at QB. Bruce Grakowski is like 6’1 and 215 or 220

Talent does count, though.
Drew Brees has it. Bruce Gradkowski? Probably not. Still, I approve of the move. I wish Jamarcus would read that quote.

Bruce is far away...
from even menitoned with the great Drew Brees. But JaMarcus doesnt even care. As long as he gets paid. He couldnt give two shits about the Raiders.

I understand you weren't comparing Gradkowski to Brees
I’m sorry if it sounded otherwise. The point I really wanted to make is that if you combine a little talent with a great work ethic, you get a much better result than great talent with a poor work ethic. Isn’t that the point you were making? Brees can’t come close to Russell’s raw talent, but no sane person (Al Davis are you listening?) would take Russell over Brees. Gradkowski, despite his physical shortcomings, gives the Raiders a much better chance of winning than Russell does.

I agree..
Except when you say Drew Brees cant compare to JaMarcus’s raw talent. JaMarcus can throw a ball 80 yards. Thats it. I consider talent being able to look down saftey’s, step up in the pocket. And deliver the ball to your reciever’s hands. JaMarcus does none of those things well.

"Mel Kiper has his opinion and I respect it. But what does it mean? My 9-year-old nephew can watch film and make an opinion. I think I value the opinion of scouts who get paid to make their opinions. It will carry me through my career. It will serve as motivation for me." - Mike Mitchell
