Remaining Raider Fans - What's Right About This Team
I live in the Los Angeles area. 5 years ago you constantly saw cars and trucks with Raider stickers, guys wearing Raider gear.
Sightings now are down 50%+. A lot of those guys are now sporting Charger bolts, a few are in Steelers gear, etc.
But the diehards remain. The other Sunday I saw a truck on the road with two Raider flags, one on each window. It was right after another 30+ point blowout loss. He'd probably been to the Fullerton Raiders game watch site, and strapped on his flags for the trip there and home, win or lose or lose or lose.
That's a fan. We are what fans should be - there like a wedding vow. It's hard, and beyond unpopular. You can get laughed at now for wearing Raider stuff (not usually to your face given Raider fan reps for not taking that too well).
So give yourselves some credit me brothers. While so many of your fellow "fans" now wear the clothing of the opponents that happen to be winning - until they start losing (watch Steeler Nation depopulate now) we soldier on.
Pleading, hoping for change, mad as hell, but there. Still there. Always will be there.

I Still Stunt A Raider Jersey
Also, people seem to really dig our 50th year anniversary jerseys a lot. They are awesome.

I'll try
This team is physical. The defense is decent in general. The passing game is improving since the dawn of Gradkowski, with receivers getting better and DMF showing himself to be a dangerous receiver too. Our kickers are great. We still have the best looking uniforms and insignia in existence – so they always look much better than they are.

I wonder how much a J-Russ Jersey is ???

Losing Woodson Hurt
Woodson/Nnamdi should have been the next Hayes/Haynes. CB is the premier position on the raiders historically, not continuing that the last few years has hurt us so much, especially since we play our corners in man press all the time. You really need 2 dominant CB’s to play “Raider D”. Just check us out through the years, when we have the DB’s, our D is good, when we don’t it lags.

I pre-ordered my J-Russ jersey when he was drafted!
I don’t wear it anymore! I had to buy a Seymour jersey this year. I also still sport my Gannon and Wheatley jersey’s.

me and my 11 yearold son and my two daughters age 7 and 10 still sport our raiders jerseys every sunday plus. raider pride still lives
I don't make it to the games
Being 2 1/2 hours away. But I do sport Raider gear, and accept any possible ridicule that might come with it. I’d have more too if they’re was more stuff available in 2 XL. It’s amazing how they can consider L actually large when it actually would fit most average sized females better.
And really. Where’s the fun in jumping on a team’s bandwagon that is probably too far away to even possibly get to the game? Got a friend in Chicago who’s a lifelong Charger fan. Actually drove us all the way down to Indianapolis to see them play the Colts one time. Mostly I just feel sorry for him rooting for a bunch of Chokers.
