Game Thread: Oakland Raiders Will Try And Unleash Their Own Hell In Pittsburgh:
Oakland Raiders at Pittsburgh Steelers, Dec 6, 2009 10:00 AM PST
These are the games that the Raiders have been winning this season. The games that nobody gives them a chance to win.
Of their three victories, two have been over the Eagles and Bengals, will Pittsburgh be the next team to fall prey to an unexpected game plan?
The Raider's team leader has been vocal all week about they need to mix up their defensive packages and the team now has an untraditional player playing an untraditional position, Trevor Scott is playing John Marshall's "Elephant" position. That is the role that Julian Peterson filed for the Niners and Seahawks.
More upset mojo will reside with Bruce Gradkowski as he returns home, he grew up in Pittsburgh, to play his hometown Steelers.
This Steeler team is wicked against the run and mediocre against the pass, so this would be the game to try and go deep about, I don't know, maybe 20 times!!! I mean, why not? What do we have to lose? Let's unleash our own heel in Pittsburgh and punch them in the mouth more than they punch us, because this team can't take many more round houses without delivering a few of their own.
Go RRRAAAIIDDEERS!!!!! OOOOAAAKKLLLAAANNDDDD!!!!! RRRAAAIDDDEERSS!!!!!

Giving up a FG on opening drive?
That’s practically priceless, thanks to Holmes dropping the ball.

If our offense scores two touchdowns today
It will be a win for us.
More than ten first downs? That would also qualify as a win.

I give him credit for that. He broke that pass up right on the spot.

Unfortunate McFadden interior run
Once in a great while, he will break through to secondary and run for a big gain, but most of the time, we’re lucky to get 2 yards

McFadden's Problem:
In a zone blocking scheme you have to wait for the hole and then explode into it. Darren just explodes into the line. That is why Fargas is a better runner in this scheme.

well if we drop him next year

Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
it would almost be good
to let him get into the last 2 games to see if he took this seriously and is showing improvement. i would hate to release him and somebody get him for dirt cheap, fix him and have him come back to beat us at some point
well
he’s ruined. we payed him so much and he doesn’t care. he’s not going to care for less money.
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
but if it's really your last and only shot
to stay in the NFL for beans with another team…you just never know
I don't want him in
I don’t want him behind center for the Raiders ever.
And he may be the only Raider that leaves the Raiders and still sucks.
