JC Penney Brings The Hall Of Fame Vote To The Fans: Van Heusen Fans Choice
At the beginning of the season, JC Penney and the Hall of Fame teamed up to put the HOF vote to the fans. They asked, who else would be nominated for the HOF?
There are many Raiders on the list: Jerry Rice, Tim Brown, Ray Guy, Tom Flores, Todd Christensen, Lester Hayes, Cliff Branch.
We all know that Jerry Rice and Emmit Smith are going in on the first ballot and I would love to see a Raider in the mix.
On the day that they announce the winners they will also reveal whom the fans chose. No, that person will not get in, BUT, we, the fans will have our voice heard.
So, go to the site and vote for the player you think should get in, for me, it is Jim Plunkett or Lester Hayes, it just has to be.
So far, 6 of the top 7 are Raiders and for too many years we lament NOT getting Ray Guy, Cliff Branch, Jim Plunkett and the rest in. This is our chance to make our voices heard!!!

I agree
with you on Plunk and Lester, but to me, it’s beyond ludicrous that Cliff Branch is not already in.
Your team is your child...You love it no matter what.

Yep..On Lester...How many CBs can you say were better than him?
His problem is that he avoided the media. He had a terrible stutter and was embarrassed by it. It is too bad, because he was the RAIDERS Defense in the 80’s.

Next Raider to go into the Hall of Fame
The next Raider that should be going into the Hall of Fame should be Jim Plunkett

Tim Brown
He’s my favorite Raider of all time without a doubt.

noone is better than tim brown, if he would of had joe montana and steve young throwing to him during his career, he would be the greatest wide receiver of all time, not jerry rice.

Cliff Branch and Tim Brown won't go in until Chris Carter does
Carter should have gone last year so he’ll go in this time. Brown or Branch will follow – but not both at once.

Flores has to be the next
2 Superbowl wins as a coach and a NFL v AFL world championship as a player.
It is absolutely criminal the he is not in already, plunkett as well.

Honestly...They should just have a Raider Year:
They should put them all in at once…Seriously…Then they can go on ignoring us for the next 20 years…

good one, saint
And you caused me to think of something, which NFL team would win if their rosters were composed of only their own HOF players?

Good call saint
Ray Guy is another absolute shocker

If it wasn't for Shane Lechler, Ray Guy would go into the HOF
But with no punter in the HOF yet, they will give it to the best and no one knows yet whose better between the two great Oakland punters.

Shane Lechler
He wont retire for another 4-5 years. Meaning he has another 10 years before hes even elligible for Voting
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

I dont understand why Lechler's career would have any bearing on Guy going in.

Shane and Ray
The best punters to play the game. Nuff Said..I dont understand how Lechlers sucess is effecting Guys entrance either though

Because there's a bias against kickers. Stenerude [sic] is the only one in
There not universally considered real [American] football players (irony). So, if they ever put a punter in it won’t be someone whose records have been surpassed.

THE JUDGE
lester hayes was as good of a corner in his prime as anybody who has ever played the game. branch and brown both deserve to get in and I would say that brown over branch is fair and that the snake should be in before plunkett and maybe one day we will get to see ray guy get in……well shit maybe one day we can get to see all the RAIDERS that deserve thier spot in canton get in.

The more going in the less HOF value for each
5 inducted/yr would be enough for me.
