COULD IT BE TRUE, Asomugha CLOSE TO A DEAL
this could be to much to ask for. could al be really doing things right this year. chekc out the link:
if this article is on the level things could be looking even better. first, shane is signed to a 4 year deal so we don't need to tag him. second, chris j. is signed to secure one corner position. now, if asamugha signs as the article indicates, the other corner position is clamped down and asamugha is here to stay for a couple of years. no tag needed and more cap room depending how they structure his contract. its hard for me to believe that this could really happen. its hard to believe that things could be happening in a positive way for the raiders. if this goes through, half our secondary is set. with gabriel at safety, we just need to find another, and then you've got the best punter in the nfl to keep the ball pinned back in the enemies territory. check it out and tell me what you think.

I don’t know how credible the source is, but I hope it’s true.

This quote says it all about his value ...
He allowed only eight receptions for 133 yards and no touchdowns.
So basically every other game he gave up a catch. And opponents got about 8 yds a game on him.

This deal NEEEEEDS to happen
we need Nnamdi on the roster for us to get better and start winning some games. Give him any price he asks for Al because he’s worth it.

I didn't know that
if that is true then that is a very good sign. Anybody but Rosenhaus. If it was Rosenhaus then for sure Nnamdi wouldn’t sign, he would test the free agent market or be franchised. This is just great news, hope like hell it is accurate. Forget worrying about the secondary, just concentrate on OL, DL and LB.

I've been hearing this everywhere
I’m thinking it’s pretty true. I’m also hearing that Harris is going to be released soon and Sands may be next. I also have read off several other blogs and chat rooms that Walker’s willing to restructure his contract and Kelly is also listening to the idea.

That is correct
It’s not really a matter of the “money”, as through the restructuring of other players contracts, cutting players and the way a long-term contract would be structured with Nnamdi, the Raiders would have the financial ability to “long-term” Nnamdi. The matter really came down to whether Nnamdi wanted to stay a Raider and NOT test the free agent market. It appears now, if the rumors are true, that Nnamdi will forgo the chance to be a free agent in the future to remain with the Raiders.

This would be good news!
Are there any rumors of us going after albert haynesworth (sP?) from Tenn. I dont know if he plays a 4-3 or 3-4. if he fits in our scheme, he would be a monster. I thought he was the key to tenn’s great def last year. If we could get him, along with a possible nnamdi signing, our defense should be set, and that would allow us to go after WR or OL in the draft.

The rumor
is that Tampa Bay, with all their cap space will go aggressively after Haynesworth.

Ok
Mark Clayton just confirmed the Raiders are VERY VERY close to sign Nnamdi to a multi year deal.

The good news just keeps coming
Two key CB’s and the best punter in the league signed within the week, times are a changing. Now get rid of the dead weight, hopefully trade for a few more picks, maybe, just maybe pick up a good free agent or two, and then have a draft of about 8 or 9 picks, that would be Christmas in April.
