Around SBN: Tiger Woods Makes His 2012 PGA Tour Debut

Heyward-Bey runs second-fastest 40 by WR since 2000

Maryland WR Darrius Heyward-Bey posted the fastest official time Sunday at 4.30 seconds. His time is tied for the second-fastest mark among receivers since 2000, trailing only the 4.28 posted by Hampton’s Jerome Mathis in 2005. Kansas State’s Yamon Figurs also had a 4.30 run in 2007.

This info was posted on the NFL site and I think if Heward-Bey is available at the 7th overall spot then Davis will definently draft him. Hopefully he is because Russell could use another deep threat.

makes me want us to draft him even more

but this probably bumps him up to first round

Agreed

I sure wish we could exchange our 7th with the Eagles two late rounders. Get Mack, Heyward-Bley and a RT or Dline help.

why would they take that?

i dont think they are that eager to hop up into the high first round…the only logical reason they would do it is for crabtree but hes injured now so im not sure if they would. i see them exchanging those two firsts for somone like anquan boldin personally.

so they can get a quality running back

for a now injury prone Westbrook who can actually do some power running. Or they could use it to fill in for Takeo Spikes (FA last time I checked)

or

they could sit on there 22 pick.. theres no real game changing running back in this draft thats really worth a top 10…i think they would rather sit on that draft pick and take 2 players in the late first…sounds more appealing but shit if htey did it id be happy

1st round

either LT or B.J Raji. That’s it. If he is not available in round two, skip him. Grab a Center. I personally liked Brain Robiskie. He did great in each of the tests and really looked great.

thanks

well you know I do what i do when I do. Had to quote Turk. I’m not so into Raji, but Taylor (dude from michigan) would be a really good pick for us.

Told you about Taylor

I told you that kid was a freak. Of course, with the bench press you always have to compare reps with the arm length. Those with longer arms have a tougher time getting as many reps because they have to push the weight so far on each rep. If Taylor has above average arm length he just did his draft stock a huge favor. Same with Brian Orakpo, who had the most reps for the LBs.

I agree with you Rayder K that Brian Robiskie looked very impressive today. Great running, including 2 40 yard dashes right around 4.5, great route running, great hands, and above all else, great poise. He looked more mature out there than anyone else.

Just because Heyward-Bey ran the fastest 40 time doesn’t mean we’ll draft him at #7. His route running and hands have been questioned by many scouts. I’m not saying DHB didn’t help his draft stock, but he probably moved himself into the 1st round, not the top 10. Unfortunately, same probably goes for Robiskie, who may not be available when we draft in the second round.

All I said was

that !AL DAVIS! would take a chance on him. I want an OT or DT at #7.

he'd sooner take Maclin

and with the cutting of Harris I think you’ll see Monroe be our #7 overall pick.

And I Fond Out

Monroe can, yes, CAN play RT. He is versatile and is not one sided.

Track stars rarely pan out in the NFL

Track sprinters arent known for having good upper body strength. I think the our #1 WR position should be a Physically strong person, Like David Boston

By the way, Is he sill playing?

Don't confuse me with the facts, my mind is made up!!

Jimmy Smith

retired a few years ago. And Boston didn’t even play last year that I know of. Heyward-Bey is the guy we need to look at if Crabtree isn’t available.

but not for #7

it’s unlikely now that he’ll be available for us in the second.

Yeah

I didn’t mean get him at #7, I just meant as for drafting a wide receiver. I want an OT or DT with the 7th pick.

agreed

but Hayward-Bey is almost guaranteed first-round status unless teams still see Harvin as a better WR. If so, then he’ll be there when we pick. However, that’s very unlikely.

Im telling you

RObiskie is a good choice. He is, i hope a 3rd round pick. And he is good enough to catch high balls.

I agree on Robiskie

but I’d like our third rounder to be on Brinkley.

too injury prone for me

I would consider him Hayward-Bey, Robiskie, and mack are gone. Though I’d sooner get Brace or Unger.
