MCM mock draft help?
Hello, I'm from Tennessee's; Music City Miracles. We're doing a mock draft (like many other places). And I have the Raiders to select for. It seems like your needs are, either a WR like Crabtree or Maclin, or perhaps a DT like Raji. But I wanted to hear what you guys think? Also, what position needs would be priory, in case this goes into later rounds? Thanks for the help you guys.

1st priority is if crabtree falls to us, the raiders need to take him. He is too good and he is almost too perfect of a fit for us. The raiders were 31st in pass offense, and the guys we have (schilens, higgins in the slot, javon walker-who sucks) are no where close to what crabtree brings us. Raji would be a real bad pick for us because for the raiders he would play nose because kelly is our penetrator. and there are plenty of 325 pound plus nose tackles later in this draft. Raji wont really help our team because if the raiders continue to lead the league in 3 and outs on offense, raji will get tired like every other d tackle we put in there. the raiders need a go to receiver. we dont have one. we have plenty of size at dt.
Maclin would be a good pick, but not nearly as good as crabtree, because he still is an upgrade at our receiver position which we were the least productive team at receiver last season. But maclin would only be picked if crabtree and both OTs are gone.
Then if orakpo is there, i would take him 3rd.
If only raji is their, then we need to trade down in a heartbeat.
Raji for the raiders=waste of pick.

I like Orakpo with #7
Duke Robinson in the 2nd
Jasper Brinkley in the 3rd
Ramses Barden in the 4th (although starting to lean on Kevin Ellison here)
Just my 2 cents though

Crabtree FIRST
Our first need is a OT, but there will probably not be any good ones by the time we get to the Raiders 7th pick. By the good ones, I mean Eugene Monroe, Jason Smith, and Michael Oher. So If they are gone I say take Crabtree or Brian Orakpo (if Orakpo is there). In the second round what the Raiders need is someone on Defense. So I would say take DE Michael Johnson from Georgia Tech, or DT Ron Brace from Boston College. If they are not there then I say we get Max Unger. As for the later rounds we need to get a SS or DB depending on how we do in Free Agency right now, and we also might want to get some OL.

I Disagree
I think we should go defense or Crabtree 1st and OL second.

Michael Johnson...
looks like a future julius peppers. He is a freak athlete. His effort has been put into question. I have been critical of Michael Oher at not trying hard enough, but i feel this situation is different. Michael Johnson is head and shoulders above the other DEs when it comes to overall athleticism. Oher is a top athlete, but doesnt shine like Johnson does. The other 2 players i think the raiders should get are either alex mack the center from cal or patrick chung the ss from oregon.
But once again the top priority is Crabtree.

If Crabtree's there
then we’ll pick him. If he isn’t, then Oakland will draft the best available OT which will msot likely be Oher.
Here’s how I think the draft will go:
1st. Crabtree or Oher
2nd. Heyward-Bey/Nicks/Robiskie if O-Line was taken in first. Mack or Unger if receiver was taken. Duke robinson is a definite possibility here.
3rd. Jaspar Brinkley or Sammie Lee Hill. Otis Sidbury could be taken here as well
4th. DE or DT. Might see Kevin Ellison taken here
6th. Either O-Line, D-Line, or S
7th. Most likely a sleeper pick at LB or DL
The Raiders will most likely draft offense early on in rounds 1 and 2 with the rest of the draft being exclusively towards the defense.
With the drafting of Manu and Parker and the signing of Oberto, the International Basketball era began in San Antonio. showing that all of the world's people can, in fact, come together in peace and harmony. After all, every nationality loves to kick the Hornets' asses.
