Yea I like the move overall

I’m warming up on the players we selected but perhaps I’m just being a blindly optimistic fan. I’m not just watching youtube clips and being sold it’s the interviews with both young men that did it for me. They both seem grounded and expect big things from themselves. They both seem to be excited about being a Raider too. I do however wish we could have traded back to say 12-15 in the first and grabbed extra day 2 picks or even a 2nd in the 2010 draft. Oh well time to pour a drink and get ready for Day 2…go Raiders!

i agree w/u

i was thinking though, maybe the raiders couldn’t trade down because no one wanted to trade up. After the Jets traded up to get Sanchez, who else was worth trading up for? i would tend to believe a team like the Giants or Eagles might want to trade up to grab crabtree but u can’t be certain of that. i think the raiders wanted to trade down all along but just couldnt get a deal worked out. blind optimism, perhaps….

That makes a lot of sense

There is certainly a possibility we could not make a move down to a spot we were still assured to grab DHB. Another possibility is the Raiders knew something the ESPN buffoons did not like another team targeting DHB earlier then expected.

Maybe DHB and Mitchell were the only two guys who can give Al a hard-on at this age. That’s why he picked them.

I can’t believe our picks though. It’s no wonder that our team has become the joke of the NFL. Year after year, it gets worse and the old man’s brain deteriorates further. How do they expect their fans to stay loyal if this is how they define and demonstrate commitment to excellence?
