Had We Traded Down
Look dont get me wrong i am so pulling for our picks to blow up but do you guys realize had we made an offer to the jets with our 7th pick for their 17th and 52nd pick i'm sure they would have much rather traded with us cuz they wouldnt have had to trade Abram Elam, Kenyon Coleman, and Brett Ratliff. If this would have happened we could have been the ones to trade with the Eagles for their 19th and 195th picks, and then been the ones to trade with the Ravens for their 21st and199th picks. So basically we would have had DHB with pick 21(and yes he would have been there at 21 i dont care what anyone says) and picks 52, 195, and 199 on top of that which would have been huge.
so combine that scenario with what we did in the rest of the draft our draft order would have looked like this:
#21. Darrius Heyward-Bey, WR, Maryland
#47. Michael Mitchell, S, Ohio
#52. Jaron Gilbert, DT, San Jose State
#71. Matt Shaugnessy, DE, Wisconsin (personally here i would had traded a couple spots and tooken Michael Johnson, DE, Georgia Tech)
#124. Louis Murphy, WR, Florida
#126. Slade Norris, OLB, Oregon State
#191. Aquired from Eagles
#195. Aquired from Ravens
#199. Stryker Sulak, DE, Missouri
#202. Brandon Myers, TE, Iowa
well like always this is my opinion, but i like to hear what y'all think about this cuz really we would have had the same exact picks and then some even though i dont agree with some of the picks.

You can't say DHB would be there at 21
a lot of teams needed recievers, this is the guy we wanted. Jamarcus needs to go to the next step this year and needs protection to more develop his conifedence.
Our line will be better and DHB is going to give Jamarcus a big, quick target and keep at least a safety out of the box

Too bad Bey isn't going to give Russell a target
Crabtree would have pushed Russell into the Pro Bowl.. Congrats Al Davis with one pick you’ve ruined two careers
Z- "Look I know your smart, I'm just questioning your logic in trying to discover the identity of a masked swordsman"
I can say he would be there
maclin wasn’t taken til 19 so im definitely positive we would have had DHB at 21.

No it wasn’t a waste of time i’m just stating what in my opinion was a very reasonable possibility nobody said you had to agree with it if you were to actually take the time to read you would have known that.

doesn't matter now
none of that happened, can’t really say any of it possibly could have happened, so right now it really isn’t worth much. if it was so easy for us to just trade the pick and still would have been able to DHB, i’m sure we would have. for now though, we got the guy we wanted, when we wanted and that’s the bottom line. look at it like this, had the snow job game not happened the way it did with the NE patty cakes, we would have probably won the super bowl and not them. and we probably would have won the next year also. at least thats my opinion. but it holds no weight and its not like it changes much. your not gonna see anyone wearing a “we were robbed of 2 super bowls” only super bowl champion shirts. ya dig
Ouch...
But when they start scheming us the way these guys did, and we weren't particularly ready for it, anything can happen."

Again
If people actually read it is an opinion not saying taking him was a bad idea just know for a fact we could have gotten him and more for pick 7 but people want to disect it more than what it is and bring up situations that make no sense or don’t compare to what i am talking about.

Why on earth would the Jets have done that?
They wanted Sanchez and were concerned that the Seahawks would have drafted him.
In any event there are so many flaws in your argument I will just sign off.
Sorry there is no Arguement
and there are no flaws i am sorry my opinion is just to intelligent for you to understand especially since you have no clue that Seattle drafted before Cleveland, and they already have Quinn and Anderson, and Cincinatti wanted an OT bad not to mention they have Carson Palmer. so eventhough it don’t matter now doesn’t mean people cant voice their opinion i thought that was the whole purpose of blogging.

A lot of if's
You’re assuming the Jet’s were interested. Haven’t read anywhere yet that that was even a option. I’m sure we would have traded down if there was a opportuinity to do so.
wow
please take the time to read, cuz if you had you would know that i said had we made an offer to the Jets we may have had that outcome. Not that there were articles saying the jets were willing to trade with us and there is not alot of if’s basically had we traded Eagles would have still wanted pick 17 and Baltimore would have still wanted pick 19. pretty self explanitory. But once again people i love this team through and through and i am happy we went with DHB over Crabs, but if I see we could have gotten everything we did in the draft plus more well then i am going to state it i am not going to be a homer like some of the chumps i am a true fan.
