Solomon Wilcots showin us some love

1st its Ron Jaworski. 2nd is Solomon Wilcots. I am loving this. I was on NFL.com and I was bored as hell until I saw "Wilcots Chat." So I decided to check out what the fans questions where. This was The question:   Who will be the biggest suprise team of this season?

At first he said The Houston Texans but then he said If this team plays defense then you gotta go with the Oakland Raiders. I wasn't shocked but that is cool to hear good reviews from Solomon Wilcots. I'm not sayin that he is the smartest guy in the world, but i'm pretty sure that he knows what he is talking about. I hope that more ESPN commentators would stop ripping us about how we are boneheads and we keep drafting busts. Watch when DHB makes Cris Carter and Trent Dilfer look like idiots. I never heard anything more disrespectful what Cris Carter said about DHB. He thinks he could say anything because he is a HOF wide receiver. I'll give him props for that. All i'm saying is, ESPN I think all you guys are gonna apologize to DHB because i really think he will be affective in this season. Except for Ron Jaworski and Solomon Wilcots, you guys are awesome.

                                                                GO RAIDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Solomon.

Amazing, Jamarcus Russell hands off to McFadden who pitches it back to Russell who finds Darrius Heyward Bey in the Middle of the Field wide open 30, 20,10,5 Touchdown Raiders! Amazing. This telecast is Brought to you by Cable.

to clarify

Chris Carter is NOT a HOFer. In fact, the longer he’s left waiting the less likely it is that he’ll get in. Tim Brown will get in before Chris Carter.

Well, Cris Carter can say what he wants to say. I don’t agree with what everyone says on every show, but ESPN pays him to give his opinion and he gave it.

It will be up to

DHB to make them eat their words, because you know the haters will be counting dropped balls. My money is on DHB.

The guys on ESPN

are paid to be provocative, that is how they get to keep their jobs. When they are wrong, they rarely apologize, just go on to bashing somebody else, that is the way it is, and until the Raiders start winning they will have to put up with the cheap shots. Because we watch the team so closely we have a better idea than them as to what is going on. The truth is that over the past 20 years the Raiders have only had about 4 or 5 good seasons, and why is that, you ask, simple, no quality QB other than the few years with Gannon. God knows, the Raiders have brought in enough different QB’s. If Russell becomes good, then the guys at ESPN will have to turn their attention to some other team.

Yep

These sports analysts are no different than journalists who cover celebrities, hoping that they’ll get arrested, make a scene, get in a car accident, whatever. There was even a writer for Yahoo sports who used to play for the Vikings who did a piece on it. He said he agreed that the reporting was heavily negative, but that it was the negative stories that got the most page hits. But it doesn’t seem like the press can differentiate between neutral criticism and harping on a subject until it’s beaten into the ground. I mean. how much time does the press spend on Asomugha for all the things he’s doing in the community? I wonder if they ever consider that all their negative reporting as simply turned a lot of people against athletes fully expecting that they will screw up.

Did you know

Nnamdi also did something with the president.

J-Mac got arm, D-Mac is unique, DHB got the hands, and he can move his feet.
Niners got Hill, he is really cheap, now they got Crabtree, hey don't fall asleep.

Didn't that happen a couple years back or something?

not tooo far back

he did it with Obama. There is no way he would’ve done it with Bush

good point

in looking at seasons following the last super bowl win in 83, the Raiders have not done much to address the QB position for any length of time with the exception of Gannon, and even he was older when he joined the Raiders and could not be effective for more than he was (same could be said of Plunket).
The Raiders last long term, “franchise” quarterback would have to be considered Stabler and that was when the Raiders would be considered their most dominating as a team. Mind you, in that decade of the 70’s the Dolphins and Steelers were also their best as well proving huge competition to the Raiders.

looking forward to the next 30 years of this team
