It's all about the money, isn't it? Packers wide receiver Donald Driver and Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall want new deals. Both receivers are looking for a pay raise. The details are more clear on Driver's demands. He is seeking an upgrade to a contract that will pay him $3.9 million this season and $4 million in 2010, according to the report, which cited two NFL sources and a team source.
Since there isn't anything else big to talk about, I'll shift it over to baseball and more specifically the Oakland Athletics. Bob Geren is the worst manager in baseball. We hate him. We want him out. His lineup card is out of whack, he manages bullpen terribly and is only employed because he's best friends with general manager Billy Beane.
Here are some quick-hitting links:
- Yesterday's DLD still doesn't have a comment as I type this word at 8:56 p.m.! That's pretty amazing, you know.
- Much to my disgust, the Los Angeles Lakers are advancing to the NBA Finals. I hate Laker fans. They annoy me since they basically don't know anything about the sport of baskteball. These are my people!
- A national poll indicates that most Americans are receptive to having more government influence over their health care in return for lower costs and more coverage.
