THIS WAS A GOOD READ, THE MEMO

i know that the link below is off another blog site, but please forgive me, it came off the raidernew.com site.  give it a read because alot of it made sense.  after the light bulb went on in my head things became clearer.  if you look at the attitude of nfl players, not just with the raiders but with the whole league, you can see the me first and i got my money attitude perpetuating the nfl.  players showing up late to meetings, taking plays off during games, and not caring.  why, because they got their 15 million to 30 million guaranteed money, so why should the care.  players like that feel its their right to be in the nfl, that they belong there, instead of it being a privledge.  perfect example....plaxico burgess.  i'm sure there are alot more example just like him over the last three to five years.

i like what cable has done with the re-signings, the draft, and the udfa's.  i don't how much was him convincing al this is the way to go or how much of it was mutal or if it was all al.  i don't care.   i truely believe that you put a bunch of guys that have athleticism who will play for each other, who will play for the team, the coach, the organization, the raider nation will find a way to win and never give up.

enjoy the read:

I read that too

Good Article!
Team first attitude, as much as I HATE the NE “tuck rule cheatln ass” Patriots that concept has worked for them.

+1

Good stuff bro. Makes me proud. Man, I’ll say it again. It feels so damn good having structure here with Oakland after so many years. I love it man.

J-Mac got arm, D-Mac is unique, DHB got the hands, and he can move his feet.
Niners got Hill, he is really cheap, now they got Crabtree, hey don't fall asleep.

"Mel Kiper has his opinion and I respect it. But what does it mean? My 9-year-old nephew can watch film and make an opinion. I think I value the opinion of scouts who get paid to make their opinions. It will carry me through my career. It will serve as motivation for me." - Mike Mitchell

Thanks for posting this

Last year when the Raiders let D’Angelo go, and replaced Huff, then Harris, the signs were there, and the real shock was when Wilson was let go. Finally, times are changing in Oakland. No more high priced whores, no quick fixes, get solid football players and go from there.

It was only a matter of time

I agree.Too many players play their heart out just to get a huge contract or even to be drafted just to let it all go once their rich! Its crazy! But its a new era in Silver and Black.Coach Cable impressed me last season.Im a fan of mike huff but last season he was playing like crap (i wonder if it was slob ryan?).Cable did the right thing for the team and benched him.Big money…who cares,1st round pick…nobody cares…He did what he saw fit for us to field the best player possible and that is true coaching! This years draft for us is full of blue collar-earn your dollar type of players, the type that have alot to prove to alot of critics. We have had guys who’ve held their roster spots mainly because we had no one to challenge them for it.Cable reconized and brought in youth to show these dormant players that change is coming,1 draft at a time.No more drafting players because he’s the concensus top pick!Draft out of need and compatability.Crabtree might be a future HOF,but he didnt fit.Stop blogging about it!We have DHB,and we all should embrace the newest members of the Raider family! Its easy to be a Mel Kiper, white collar paper pusher. Its drive and dedication to be a blue collar day in and day out.Thats the way this game should be! A Commitment To Excellence!

Good Post

There will be plenty fat trimming leading up to day 1 reg season, and we’ll be looking at teams like NE who will be forced to let go some of thier players
