Injuries plague the Raiders top picks
As you may have heard Heyward-Bey and had some hamstring troubles. He first injured in the beginning of OTAs and was out for a good 2 weeks or so. And unfortunately he aggravated his hamstring once again on the 17th, he then left the field with a trainer and did not return to practice. This seems to be somewhat of a set-back as far as progress goes. I dont know how long the injury will keep him sidelined, hopefully he will be able to participate at JMarcs passing camp. In other bad news Mike Mitchell has also missed the final days of OTAs and Mini camp because of a sore hamstring. He didnt get to participate in many OTAs because of an NFL rule that states he cannot participate before his classes at Ohio University are finished.
In my opinion I'm just a little worried that this hamstring on Heyward-Bey may linger and effect his progress. But hopefully his hamstring will be healthy by the end of June for Training Camp. I think Mike Mitchell will be fine, he just had some soreness and hopefully he can learn somethings during the next few weeks.
Greg Ellis has been working with the 1st team in Derrick Burgess' spot. I think Burgess might be gone, I would like to keep him and see both Ellis and Burgess as our ends, but on the other hand that would cut into Trevor Scott and Jay Richardson;s playing time and i think they need to get on the field. I havent heard any news of Burgess at OTAs or mandatory minicamp which makes me feel like he doesnt wanna be here. I know hes a vet but come one MANTADORY mini camp? If we can get a good deal for him, I think we should do it.
Hopefully everything works out for the best I'm looking forward to this season GO RAIDERS!!!

If Derrick Burgess
Is hungry for a new contract I say keep him and let him work his ass off getting 20 sacks a game and then at the end of the year get him a little trinket for his hard work. I hope that happens.
Amazing, Jamarcus Russell hands off to McFadden who pitches it back to Russell who finds Darrius Heyward Bey in the Middle of the Field wide open 30, 20,10,5 Touchdown Raiders! Amazing. This telecast is Brought to you by Cable.

Ur right
If an albert haynesworth type year is in his future now that he is hopefully fully healthy why not keep him if an uncapped year is coming in 2010 lets roll the dice see what we get then either pay him or let him walk what can it hurt a third or fourth round pick is probably all were gonna get and we need a good year so lets risk losing that possible draft pick in compensation to get the most out of this year and build confidence in Marshalls defense and the team in general

Mixed emotions
Trade him for 3rd or 4th No one will give us a 2nd. (get someone for him)
or
Keep him with Ellis it will be good for this year, hopefully he will resign If he likes our direction, but if he gets 20 sacks he will cost too much.
But I’m leaning towards trading him build for the future!

I don't think so
Because we would been all over him with that pick.

If the pats were gonna give a 3rd
he’d be gone by now.

The hamstring inuries
don’t worry me right now. They’re rookies not used to the amount of work in NFL practices. It’s bound to happen. Let them get used to it and adapt and I’m sure they’ll be fine.
