michael vick

how would you guys feel if michael vick signs with the raiders? I can honestly see that.

we all now of his speed and arm strength, and i think would be perfect if we were to incorporate the wildcat.

imagine having the speed package of vick, dmac, and dhb?

vick:qb, rb

dmac: qb, rb, wr

dhb: wr, rb,(maybe qb)

I think that's scary!

but without going into too much reasons, i'd much rather hear yours

Why do we keep rehashing old news?

There are better QB’s out there than Vick that won’t bring any black eyes to the organization. I don’t want him here. Especially not to replace Russell.

I like russell

but if he ends up doing bad, or gets injured, i’d rather have vick instead of garcia. it will certainly bring competition to russell. But besides the wildcat potential, i would rather have russell than vick.

i like him, but only if he comes as a wildcat specialist

like what you mentioned above and an emergency QB.

exactly

but i don’t think he’ll want to be backup, so that’ll be an issue.

We already have

2 guys who can run the wildcat (mcfadden and bush) I don’t really see a need for Michael vick. I agree that maybe next year if Garcia goes and we have built a solid foundation this year it could be possible but this is too important a year to have such distractions

We will not sign Vick

He will come with the whole media with him we don’t need that. Jamarcus and Jeff McFadden and Bush I don’t think we need help at either RB or QB so he will create more problems than he solves scratch that he won’t solve any problems.

Amazing, Jamarcus Russell hands off to McFadden who pitches it back to Russell who finds Darrius Heyward Bey in the Middle of the Field wide open 30, 20,10,5 Touchdown Raiders! Amazing. This telecast is Brought to you by Cable.

Vick should be banned for life

from the NFL. The guy is a moron and an animal abuser, I;m not saying I don’t believe in second chances but he doesn’t deserve the chance to be making NFL money ever again. He blew his chance.

he deserves a chance.

True, to an extent...

I agree partially. I think that yes, he has done his time and deserves to be a free manbecasue the law says he is.
BUT – He commited a serious and premeditated crime that not only took planning, thought and time on his part but he was also warned by the Commisioner to stay away from dog fighting and yet he stil not only took part, he also raised, bred and killed dogs himself. It’s not like he just wen’t to a couple of fights and placed a bet. He KNEW what he was doing and knew it was illegal and took part regardless. He was not forced into it or was impaired in his judgment (drink driving) when he commited the crime. Also there is the fact that he has shown no remorse at all for his actions.
And now he expects to be back in league (probably with a minimum 1 year suspension) and start making millions again? How many others would kill to have a chance at the NFL? But hey, that’s ok., you can! Just kill a few dogs and we’ll let you right in…
What kind of a role model is he for kids?

by KiwiRaiderFan on Jul 21, 2009 5:20 PM PDT up reply actions

a bad one.

but like you said, he did his time. let’s be honest, with or without Vick, theres always gonna be bad role models for the kids. In and outside of sports.
