Is Favre Really Staying Retired This Time????
now all the reports are coming in that Brett Favre has told the Vikings he will remain retired from the NFL because he feels his body will not be able to hold up mentally and physically to the daily grind required to play at a high caliber. We have all been here before with Brett and his decisions to retire and unretire...then retire and possibly unretire again. But is this really the last we hear in this Favre soap opera saga that is his retirement? Can he possibly change his mind yet again in a few weeks? Could this all be a load of crap?
And on another note, does this whole retiring and unretiring completely ruin his legacy as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history?

At the end of the today, when the dust has settled, he’ll be recognized as one of the greatest players of all time. I don’t think his legacy has been damaged. He just needs to stay out for good now.

Will he come back or not come back
To me it depends on how the Vikings are doing early in the reg season if they start out 0-3 or something then he may get that football itch and Brad Childress might give him a call and he might/might not accept.
Amazing, Jamarcus Russell hands off to McFadden who pitches it back to Russell who finds Darrius Heyward Bey in the Middle of the Field wide open 30, 20,10,5 Touchdown Raiders! Amazing. This telecast is Brought to you by Cable.
I think the Vikings are fine without him.

I think they're better w/out him.
Favre is past his prime and his arm isn’t what it used to be.
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
i don't really care
about a past-his-prime, mediocre QB.
Don't confuse me with the facts, my mind is made up!!
Stick a fork in him
I think he is done, he has never liked surgury and he is finally realizing that he can not recover the way he used to. I was reading an artical and doctors were telling him that the swelling that he is dealing with (knees body) was normal for his age. I hate to see him go, but the longer he stay the worst his image and legacy may suffer. Not with myself but some people may view it that way. We should see him on ESPN, FOX, CBS etc soon.
