Training Camp Day 1 Quick Notes
No Burgess, no DHB
Defensive end Derrick Burgess is an unexcused no-show for training camp, and Raiders coach Tom Cable said the two-time Pro Bowler has not told the team why he's staying away.
First-round pick Darrius Heyward-Bey is also unsigned and an official holdout on the first day of training camp (meetings only, but mandatory just the same).
Wide receiver Arman Shields and quarterback Danny Southwick were waived to get the roster to 80 players.
Decision on Andrew Walter in next 24 hours.
Jerry McDonald also reports that DHB is in the area and may sign soon...Details of Tom Cable's day 1 press conference coming soon.

Aww man
I liked Arman Shields I thought the dude could play good ball.
Amazing, Jamarcus Russell hands off to McFadden who pitches it back to Russell who finds Darrius Heyward Bey in the Middle of the Field wide open 30, 20,10,5 Touchdown Raiders! Amazing. This telecast is Brought to you by Cable.

The problem with him was that he was never healthy enough to step onto the field.
The sixth wide receiver spot (after Schilens, Heyward-Bey, Higgins, Walker and Murphy) is pretty much irrelevant and it’s between Jonathan Holland, Nick Miller, Shawn Baynes, Todd Watkins and Will Franklin. I’m not sure if we’ve cut Samie Parker yet or not. If we haven’t, the ex-Chief is still a candidate.

Burgess! WTF!
Not a good way to get on Al’s good side. Do the Pats still need him.
Wherever I go, that's where I am.

Or
A Trever Scott and Ellis Line is great too, Heard that Scott got hella more buffer and stuff.
