I Have a Dream....
...and in my dream, the Oakland Raiders in the 2006 draft select DT Haloti Ngata over Michael Huff to shore up their D-line; in 2007 they select Adrian Peterson over JaMarcus Russell (still select Miller & Bush), and in 2008 they select Joe Flacco over D Mac. I never want to wake up from this. Do you see me now, Toe Cutter? Do you see me, man?

Only agree in part
I don’t think you’d find a member of Raider Nation who would rather have Huff over Ngata. At the time though, remember there were concerns about Ngata’s attitude and Huff was almost a sure thing. I don’t remember many criticisms.
Certainly Peterson is amazing, but who would be our QB now? Walter? I think JaMarcus will be a great QB. Maybe we could’ve taken Trent Edwards in the 2nd round if we didn’t have J-Russ. Also remember that Peterson only fell because of concern about his knee. Who knew it wouldn’t matter?
Finally, I think Joe Flacco is way overrated. I could be wrong but think not.

if you could go back in time
you would re-draft huff?? i know i wouldnt..but i also think its pointless to criticize the raiders for making bad picks. especially guys like gallery or huff who were “cant miss prospects”, most fans wouldve been histerical if they reached for anyone else.
