I'm Back

Hey Guys, I finally got a chance to get back online here. I haven't been on here since the end of the school year, and have had some road blocks in my Family (grampa died) and personal life (tough decisions about school and such) which is why I haven't been on lately. It's good to see everyone still blogging about the Raiders, and getting ready or the Season which is approaching quickly.

Star-divide

I'm going to share some questions about the Raiders to stir up discussion.

With Derrick Burgess on the trade block, how do you think the addition of Greg Ellis is going to affect a relatively young defense?

How will Zach Miller's involvement with the Offense help the blossoming of Jamarcus Russell at QB?

The O-Line has been progressing with Coach Cable, and with the Raiders making big splashes in the OL free agency, how is the Raiders Run game going to stack up with the rest of the AFC west?

Just some thoughts, my First Fanshot back after a tad bit of a hiatus, but it's good to be back.

I’m sorry about your loss.

With Derrick Burgess on the trade block, how do you think the addition of Greg Ellis is going to affect a relatively young defense?

Greg Ellis should definitely help the young defensive ends, such as Trevor Scott and Jay Richardson. All should get significant playing time. Ellis is a former Pro Bowl player, so that alone helps the young group. He’s also eager to prove that he still has something in the tank. I think he’ll play well and I hope to get about eight sacks out of the guy.

How will Zach Miller’s involvement with the Offense help the blossoming of Jamarcus Russell at QB?

Zach Miller is clearly Russell’s favorite target and he should be. He’s the most reliable target on the team. He could be poised for a breakout year and a possible Pro Bowl berth if everything really, really gets going.

The O-Line has been progressing with Coach Cable, and with the Raiders making big splashes in the OL free agency, how is the Raiders Run game going to stack up with the rest of the AFC west?

The offensive line keeps getting better yearly. Kwame Harris is gone, so that alone is an improvement. Mario Henderson is a very capable offensive tackle. Our running game could be the best in the division if we can stay healthy — including the fullbacks. It doesn’t have to be the best in the division, though. I expect it to be top five in the league, however.

I Am Also

Very high on our running game. Lorenzo looks so promising being our FB. A legend at his position. Can’t wait.
