Hey Al .... What about Derrick Brooks!?

Now I know that the signing of RS is great and our D-line is better by far but to me we're missing that X-factor that raw dogg middle or outside linebacker that gets in there and cracks heads but also makes plays. Now AL if u visit this Raider site "im asking" - why not Brooks for one year?

It'll bring the raiders back to its roots as a defensive powerhouse at least in our division.

It seem to me that Cable has his watchful eye on the linebacking corps by bringing in Greenwood and others in to camp that he thinking about bringing in another LB with game to free Morrison to do more without so much burden
on his shoulders.

1yr is all i give him because frankly thats all that i think he has left in the tank to play at a high level.

As a comparision LOLB Jon Alston gave u 34 total tackles last year in 14 games in 2008, now even in a off year Derrick Brooks got 73 total tackles, 1 Pick and 1FF in 16 games. I rest my case......

im pretty sure alston didnt start 14 games last year.

to make the argument fair you’d have to add in ricky brown and sam williams’ totals, because they probably accounted for a bunch of starts as well. your still probably right, D.Brooks mightve had a better season than those 3 guys combined. but if hes soooo good, why hasn’t anyone tried to sign him? and why did the raiders pass on him after working him out?

I think it would be great

Bringing in Brooks would be a wise choice the locker room presence with Ellis, Seymore, and Brooks alone would be inspiring to the young talent we have there, plus it would give Cable another option at LB allowing Morrison to use more of that god given talent to make more plays.

Brooks

The thing about brooks is that u dont see those things in camp. the special things that he brings to the fields is in the regular season . He has a nose for the ball like a bloodhound and its something that u cant teach or draft its in him to disrupt. X-FACTOR for real. You only see it in game situations and thats why i want him because he changes games on on d-fense. Dont believe me look him up hes better than Urlacher over the last five years.With a ring too. Age Age Age thats all i ever here, but hes drunk that youth water. Most teams run left on us because we’re weak defensively on that side but richard fucks that up. now it right and if Jon is the second level whats the difference but if brooks mug is there it’s a difference. there technik and experience to stop the back side. Think im on one but brooks can still do that shit.we will have the top 10 best front seven. our secondary who knows!!!!!!!!!

Age is just a number this man is a true professional, and beast at his position. I wouldn’t be surprised if Raiders take another look at him. Especially if the run D is still an issue after picking up Seymore

look its not about someone skillz, its about the money u hire him for. he might might have wowed the coaches but that BMW is too expensive u know what i mean. i Feel rent him for a yr or two and draft a MLB in 2010 since we have picks this off season and go for the division. face it chargers r not that much better because if they were they would have a ring by now. weak side LB Brooks is!!!!
