There Some Fake Fans In Oakland
I luv the Raiders always have but i get tired of these so called Raider lovers that hate on their own team, Calling russell a failed quarterback and all that jazz. First of all this is Russell first real year with maybe seven pro games under his belt. Come on jerks what are u mad at his signing bonus or something. Second thing both of his wideouts are hurt or simply sitting on the sidelines chill'n. The rest are rookies or 3rd string WR, enough said said right? We all said we bleed silver and black so if thats so give your quarterback a chance before you go the water cooler at work and talk that stuff about Russell and you know who you are to!!! Anyways if your gonna blame someone blame the ref for the reason we are not 2 and 0 with Russell at the helm. GO RAIDERS

100% with you on JR defense
But it was the prevent D that lost us that game. Not a blown call, or flawed rule b4 the first half was even finished.

And it was KC killing themselves with penalties
and over all bad playing that lost the game for them. They went in to prevent D, and we had that great drive.

Did I miss something somewhere?
I thought Russell played 15 games last year. How do you come to the math of 7 pro games? Plus he played at least one game his rookie year. Just because people are critical of Russell does NOT make them fake Raiders fans. And it’s insulting to say so. Are people that thing Al Davis is ruining the franchise fake Raiders fans too? We ARE allowed to be critical of a player. Really, we are. It doesn’t make us any worse fans than you are. In fact the fact that we love our team so much we want to see them succeed and we’re critical of weak links makes us better fans and fans looking out for what’s best. Even if we can’t do anything about it.
I want to see improvement from Russell. I want to see passes under the stratosphere. Birds and the crew on the ISS are not our Wide Receivers. He couldn’t even do a dump off screen pass to McFadden. All he had to do was lob it. Not even toss it. I want to hear he’s working hard w/ the coaches and WR’s to get better and comfortable with them. I don’t want to hear his work ethic is still in question. I don’t care if a WR makes a route or not, he’s not catching a ball that’s in orbit. He had a full off season to work on these things, he played an entire season minus one game last year. Certain basic fundamentals should have gotten better. I’m not saying he won’t be good, but I just don’t think he’s ready to start. And that doesn’t make me a fake Raiders fan, and I take insult with that insinuation.

Thats a good one mikesd …
We as fans HAVE A RIGHT to be critical of players and even mgmt, we have stock in the team no matter if all you own is a $12 cap or a fake shirt.

he does need more work on his throws.
and what better way to work on throws than by trying to throw it to your receivers in an actual game. experience is key to success.

Constructive criticism doesn't make someone a "fake fan".
Far from it. What if I want to see my beloved Raiders succeed, but I feel that they’re being run into the ground by the management? What if I’m tired of being the laughingstock of the league? Should I just shut up, worried that I’ll be labeled a “fake fan”?
Please remedy my confusion
and thrust me back to the day.

People should be more specific
Like when the passing coach says they worked with Russell on his footwork, and Russell hadn’t progressed as much as he’d hoped.

you can't blame the young receivers
on an inaccurate passer. I’m not bashing JR but he has to give the receivers an opportunity to catch the ball. His completion rating is pathetic and it isn’t the receivers fault.

Agreed
but I think it is also unfair not to acknowledge at least that he is not exactly throwing to Andre Johnson and Steve Smith and his main receivers had played a combined 2 Games in their careers before last week.

That still doesn't explain
launching the ball into orbit.

true
I’ve made various other posts on that but I just think that you cant discount the lack of experience in the receiving core entirely

You're right
And you probably ought to expand it to the lack of experience to much of the offense, seeing as how the running game is shaky as well.

I dont know though
Around my camp everyone is like “drop JR” and im like why ive seen ants get more playing time than what some want to allow JR. Look at David Carr in houston, or Tony Romo in Dallas they are given robe to hang theirselves sometime 4 years at one organization, Tony Romo sucks but the birds are hardly chirping about removing him, “No let get rid of T.O. is the battle cry” What im saying about fake fans is that all 31 nfl organization laugh, the media laughs and hates, then we as raider fans endorse them, because we dont wanna be laugh at personally. We are not the laughing stock of the league; the Rams, Lions and Nationals are!!! we went to the Super Bowl this decade damnit, when the last time dallas been there? So fake fans have faith in your team and in your quarterback because it seem no one likes the Raiders but us fans. shit ask KOBE how it feels outside L.A.

u dont become a fake fan
by criticizing a player. you DO become a fake fan once your faith in ANY PLAYER begins to falter. if you love a team, you need to love the team. not 51 players out of a team, especially when that leftt out player is sthe quarterback. the supposed leader, director on the field, and the person that has the most to do with the offense. how about we just stop bashing jr all together? yea he has things to work on and until he gets his stuff down hell continue to need work. every quarterback needs work on things. not every first round pick is gonna come out and be mr perfect.
so please just stop bashing j russ. hes the face of the team n if u say the face is ugly, u say the team as a whole is ugly. just let him do his thing so maybe by next year, hell maybe by the end of the year hes mentioned in the same sentence as peyton manning, tom brady, n drew brees
just a slow start thats all

So the QB
the leader as you say, the face of the team, the director, gets a free pass? Shouldn’t he be looked @ the hardest because,as you say, he is the leader, the face of the team, the director. If the supposed leader fails, the team fails.

u dont become a fake fan ...
So if I loose faith on any player in my team I am a “fake Fan”? …
I believe we have waited to see improvement, he gets MILLIONS to deliver, how long does your boss wait to pull the trigger if you do not deliver on a consistent basis?
Never mind 9 & 7 I will settle for .500
Besides, has a team gone anywhere when then QB is not up to par ?
