Vick???
Now let me be clear I have not given up on JaMarcus but even though I think he could be a dominant player, Stevie Wonder can see that JaMarcus is not cutting the mustard at the moment and unless there is some serious improvement REAL FAST even Mr Davis is gonna see he needs to hit the bench and that maybe this aint gonna work out but the question is who would QB the team.
Many people have already touted the prospect of drafting bradford, Tebow , Snead etc etc but as we have found drafting a QB is a craps shoot and a potential very bad investment.
MY ANSWER: MICHAEL VICK
Vick is the prototype Al Davis player with a Cannon arm and real speed and with a year under his belt he will want to start and with Kolb playing so well in Philly even if McNabb retires i cant see Vick getting the Job so it is highly likely that he will be available.
This would be a classic Al Davis signing and Vick will have had a year of image rehabilitation so the heat will be a little off although im sure we would kop it still just because we are the Raiders but having Vick, McFadden, Bush, Schillens, DHB and Murphy that would be some SERIOUS play making ability. Hell if the Eagles go crazy and go with Vick and Kolb over McNabb we should sign McNabb either way one of these guys will most likely be available and although we haven't seen anything from Vick yet to show that he is really back but would surely be a major upgrade on what we have seen so far.
Ideally id like to restructure JaMarcus's contract and sit him behind Vick till he's ready (if ever) as it would kill me to see us let him go and have him star somewhere else.
Off-season just gone was not the right time for the Raiders to go after Vick but next year is a whole different story.
Plus I tried it on Madden 10 and it is SWEEEEEEET!!!!! :)

I Agree
Many people dont know but Al Davis already tried to trade for Vick it was a couple years ago he was willing to trade the falcons Moss and Porter for Vick but we should totally do that and get Ray Charles off the helm (JaMarcus Russell)

The whole ironny is, if Jamarcus tucked it away and ran occasionally when he's in trouble
We’d have moved the chains on drives and stayed in some of these games.
Why doesn’t he ever run, and why aren’t certain plays designed around that? How about a fucking bootleg for a change?
Watch his college highlight reels; this was a key part of his game, and the other part doesn’t happen without that aspect. Is this a coaching thing? I have to believe the inability to improvise, adapt, and overcome the problems is a glaring coaching weakness.

Kolb
You guys should have sent a 1st to Philly for Kolb instead of a washed up hair-pulling DL.

the pats tried trading for kevin kolb.
he’s a great pocket QB. He would be nice.

Kevin Kolb
Kolb has performed well, yeah, but he also has DeSean Jackson to throw to and one heck of a coaching staff. He wouldn’t have that here.

eh, you're right
althouggh i’m not giving up on russell, kolb seems to be a step ahead of him. and kolb’s first GREAT game was against the pats in 07. I feel good about this kid.

Kevin Kolb
I’m looking at Kolb’s career passing stats in 2007, 2008 and 2009. It says he played one game in 2007, but it’s all “0” under every category.

Terdell Sands
Sands wasn’t released fast enough. He still earned that roster bonus.

well, you know how i feel about belichicks ability to get the best from a guy
and the addition of Seymour has already made Kelly look better, but as far as I’m concerned, Terdell was a waste of money.

I really don't see Michael Vick being the prototype Raider quarterback
as Al loves guys who go deep from the pocket. Vick is not a good pocket passer although he is a unique weapon.
All of us are dreaming if we think that Davis is going to give up on JaMarcus Russell anytime soon and by the time he does Vick could be well into his 30’s.
On a personal level even though I believe that Vick has served his time and should have been allowed back in the NFL I don’t really want to root for the man as I found his actions to be sick and evil.
I guess if we’re dreaming about quarterbacks can’t we do better than bringing in another quarterback who has accuracy issues (53.7% completion for his career) and is 5 years older than the guy we already have?

shit....
get on the bus buddy. pretty much every team with questions at quarterback are all clamoring over themselves to have a shot at him… when the ironic thing is, everyone DID have a shot at him. lol

true
but you know Al – if he wants Vick he will do whatever it takes, especially if its an uncapped year

Let's not forget
that Tom Cable was Vick’s line coach before he came to Oakland.

k
but i don’t think that al and the coaches are ready to give up on russell yet. i was saying we should sign vick, but russell needs to play games in order to get better. benching him won’t solve anything(in terms of his problems).

hmm
1)
true
what do you think the raiders will give them in return for him?
I answered you.
2)
but russell needs to play games in order to get better. benching him won’t solve anything(in terms of his problems).
It could send him a message to step it up. Or at the very least if he doesn’t care cuz he’s getting the money any way, then it tells us that he’s really not starter material.

Did we somehow lose all our draft picks?

Think Bradford will be quality QB
but I have serious doubts about Tebow, and Snead. There is a guy named Hiller at one of the smaller schools that looks like he could be a steal in mid rounds of draft. Think hes Western Michigan QB.

I think signing Vick would also allow us to draft i Lineman
