Hope for the Raiders in 2010 if the right decissions are made.

The Raiders have a real opportunity now to make the right decissions about where they are headed for the 2010 season reguarding personel and coaching, First, I would say that unless they are able to get a real experienced  and  proven winner for head coach, that they retain Tom Cable for 2010. ,  Al Davis needs to reduce Tom Cables  resonsibilities in areas of weakness and have him focus on what he does best. Second, they should get real with Jamarcus Russell and either get him to put for the effort it takes to be successfull as a NFL quarterback, or cut him loose. He looks embarrasing  as is, and must get in shape, both in mind and body. Jamarcuss Russell must learn to make the right decissions quickly amd make acurate passes. He must speed up his play so that the offensive line is not having to block for him for too long a time. This would also help put the pressure on the defense of their opponets rather than the Raider offensive line. Even though Jamarcus is a big guy for his position, he is very very soft, weak, and needs to cut his weight and gain strength. Also, the place where most  games are won and lost is on the offensive and defensive lines and they must make real improvement here. They must  seek top quality offensive and defensive linemen who can get it done on a consistant basis. They also must improve at the reciever positions. , They have had too many droped balls and must improve here. One last thing that would make the Raiders a much better team is to have two really tough, bruising runingbacks, and one very speedy back that has the ability to go all the way from anywhere on the field. Finally, improving the assistant and position coaches will help tremendously. With better coaching on both sides of the ball, the players would improve their play and the team would not get hurt from having the wrong decissions made at critical times in a game. If all of the things I mention are achived, the Raiders would become a team to be proud of,  and be deserving of fan support. With these changes being made, Al Davis just might have the last laugh as to the Raiders greatness and once again the Raiders would matter in the NFL and to its fans.
