Is our offensive struggles against 9ers a result of
Campbell unable to perform HJ plays, in which led HJ to shy away from any trick plays, and passes.

Just listened to the show. Glad you mentioned Shaughnessy and Scott's play Sunday
They and others played great football. The coaches ruined this game, they are weak and stupid and that’s what makes me think we are finished – as far as any hope of playoffs. Stopping the blitz and pulling the 5th man of the DL in the 2nd Half – when it, at least, was working – that’s Marshmallow. Running the same handful of plays over and over that’s on Jackons. And not pulling the the creature who name should never be spoken forever, is on Cable.

Once again Sons, you're spot on, Marshmellow has to go, why not ask Willie Brown to go back to
Defensive Co-ordinator. Remember Eric Allen on one side and Sir Charles on the other. That was a fordimable defense, ranked as high as #1 or #2. Maybe Brown isn’t the answer, but, Dick Lebeau is an octagenerian and he’s leading a #1 defense. I would like a coordinator with a gameplan and confidence on game day, not one or the other, both are necessary.

I've always felt the Willie walked away from his job when it was confirmed that Cable and Marshall would continue

DAMN S-O-B !!!
Has that person made it to the depths of, He who shall’nt be called by name, ALREADY ?? I mean he has gotten plenty of help at being pathetic by the abismal play calling, and before you go there, I am in no way defending his BS, sheepish azz, Deer caught in the Headlights attitude, late & hestitant, what seems like scared to get hit azz type of play !!!! Have we really reached this point, really ????
I have grown tired of Roger Goodell's cowboy bullshit...I've had enough!!!!!
The idea of suspending players for hits to the head, is more or less…appropriate. I don’t want to get into the dangers of it, although I personally, think, all things are equal on the field of play. I’ve played professional rugby for 15 years, played it in Canada, America, Australia and England. I believe that all football players should play rugby in the offseason to learn how to tackle waist to shoulder, it’s not hard, and if you miss the waist shoulder tackle on the rugby field, you get hurt and it’s your fault.
I don’t want to see the history books show great players like, Jack, Cecil, Blount, Lott, twenty years later that they were dirty because they used their helmet as a weapon. The helmet is just as important to a defensive player [especially DB’s and LB’s], as shoulder pads. While I do think it will be a deterrent this year, it is only a visceral response, not an intelligent, thought out plan. Just like the Blount rule, this is designed to pussify our defensive players from their natural instincts, separate the ball from the player. You can’t expect 400 years of instinct to stop in a week. Once again, the NFL Universe is trying to pussify it’s league without thinking of the long-term effects of a stop-gap solution.

It's one thing to protect sitting-duck QBs and hung-out-2-dry WRs ... but ending head-2-head altogether will ruin this game
consider an open field situation where the ball carrier lowers his head, where does that leave the defender who now has a smaller target in the open field. More broken tackles, scoring and the ruination of the game under Goodell.

I understand the intent
Concussions are becoming a major problem, but there is a pretty simple reason why: with the advances in helmet design and materials, players now feel safe leading with their head. Concussions were much less prevalent 35 years ago, despite the less pussified rules, because while defensive players would try to break you into little pieces, they didn’t lead with their head, because that would hurt them as much or more.
Spearing was almost unknown when I was young, and the helmet had a leather strap arrangement on top; it started with the foam inserts. Raking was also unknown, until the bigger facemasks became the norm.
The response by Goodell is well-intentioned, but stupid. An amusing, but almost serious, idea that I though was better was to take off the facemasks, and see how the problem of tacklers leading with the head disappears…
