I’m so indecisive… I think Kyle, then figure Jason can do it better as long as the run game shows up. But, Kyle can come up, complete a few passes and run with the success and win the game. Who knows?

But, it’s not about what I want, it’s about the team. And so far, word is Kyle’s the starter. So, go Kyle!

Vick would’ve looked real nice in silver & black! Not to mention it would’ve been a very cool looking jersey! Oh well… shoulda coulda woulda. I say run with Boller just to spice things up a bit. We’ve already seen what Campbell can do… or bettery yet, can’t do.

If I had to pick a second team

then I think it would be the Eagles. I love the Raiders, but I loved to watch Randall Cunningham play. The Eagles are the Raiders of then east coast.

painfully ironic headline of the day

“If no setbacks, it’s Campbell vs. Broncos”

And yes, that is a real headline

I don’t think he’ll make it past the first quarter though, he’ll be pulled if he plays half as bad as last week

worst case scenario, defense plays great and keeps it close so he doesn’t get pulled, then he needs a late drive and attempts to move it down the field with 15 consecutive checkdowns to Michael Bush, ending in a horrible INT in the red zone forcing it to Miller into quadruple coverage

and he’ll still have the same fucking dumb look on his face that he does in the photo above

I have to say that after last week if JC is anything less than 100% Boller has to start

I get the impression he will and maybe this is somewhat of a smokescreen to hamper the Donkeys preparation.

Boller looked good in preseason obviously having the advantage of working with Hue in Baltimore and it just doesn’t seem like JC has a good enough handle on this offence.

Sounds to me like Campbell will start

I want JC to be healthy so that we have a backup, but I want to see Boller in action. What is a gimpy JC going to show me that a healthy JC hasn’t already displayed? But according to this AP article, JC will start unless he has a setback. Blargh.

Campbell will probably start and when he chokes again will claim sore knee. Cable or Hugh will use the hook by halftime

meanwhile, the D will stifle the run and, if White Rabbit had his testosterone I-V, blitz Orton into ineffectiveness until Boller can pull a Grad and save the day. This is my dream.

Too Damn Funny !!!

When Vic got out of Jail, Everyone of you shouting out his name now, was against the “The Dog Killer playing in Oakland” !! I said then, due to the state of the O-Line then (which hasn’t gotten any better) His running ability would be best used in Oakland.
Cable’s dufuss azz was one of the first to say we didn’t need, or want Vic’s services. Even though he’s better now, after a year in Philly, learning how to become a better QB under Donavon, He would’ve been a hell of a upgrade considering who we were stuck with.
Play Boller, for Campbell has played his way out of the Job !!!!

by papabegood on Oct 22, 2010 5:52 PM PDT reply actions

Seriously this bad for Boller

I mean give it some time. We need to start throwing the ball deep and thats the thing. Denver’s pass rush and secondary are pretty battered, we need to see a big game out of Louis Murphy. Who ever the QB is needs to have a good game. Campbell has done it a lot more then Kyle Boller has. Lets go Campbell! Light up them Donkeys!

Who do you want to start Campbell or a ham sandwich?

Raiders fans vote for the sandwich.
Never mind Campbell helped break a 14 game losing streak to their hated rivals, what have you done for me lately? Hey, he hurt his knee and tried to keep playing, Gradkowski tried that and he’s a freaking hero.
No one’s saying Bush should take a seat, the running game stank against the 9’ers.
One thing about Boller starting we will see if its the O line or the receivers or the QBs……
Send in the sandwich

His play against SF was that grotesque; anything decent coming before (but there wasn't much)

was overwhelmingly offset. Plus, it doesn’t help his popularity that his inept style on the field resembles, in too many ways, the previous anointed one.

yup
Never mind Campbell helped break a 14 game losing streak to their hated rivals

Way to over look what the special teams and defense did there. He had 2 good drives in that game. But then against a easier team, had 0 good drives and completed 5% of his passes. Not that much to hang your hat on.

Hence the word "helped" and not "single handedly"," individually","independantly"

I don’t particularly like Campbell either, but give the guy a break. If he sucks again this week let’s see what the options are. The running game did not help him out at all. The O line adds an extra lineman, so he has less targets, Bush could n’t catch the ball out of the backfield either.
The question is do you build around what you have and try to get something going, or keep reshuffling everything hoping to find something that works. Building or reshuffling?

I don’t particularly like Campbell either, but give the guy a break. If he sucks again this week let’s see what the options are.

These same arguments were given last year to the other one we had. How many times does a guy have to fail til people just realize it’s not working? At least we can’t hear “Technically he’s still a rookie….” with Campbell. Bush isn’t a receiving RB like McFadden is. But Campbell couldn’t complete the passes to the WR’s either. Completing just 5% of your passes makes it hard to make any excuse for the guy.

The question is do you build around what you have and try to get something going, or keep reshuffling everything hoping to find something that works. Building or reshuffling?

Well once the reshuffling finds something that works, then you build on that.

Agree. Given our OC, OL and WR situation - there is no probable way campbell can help us

Grad can and someone like Vick or Vince Young could – but a Walter, Marc Wilson or campbell only makes us worse.

I'd like to see how Boller will do, but

talking with the ravens fans, and their impressions on boller, i don’t know if I really want to…

I’ll take 11 players with heart on the field over 11 guys with just talent. Talent is fleeting, it goes away over time. Heart is what drives you to be better. To push yourself beyond what you think your capabilities are. To show us that when you strive, all things are possible.- SMP

the question of QB aside

The real question is will the same O line show up or will it be back to suckage! if the O line steps up to be counted like they did vs the donks then JC can do a credible job. I mean really how hard is it to hand the ball to DMac or Bush? Honestly much as I love the way Grad fires the team up none of our QB’s are really stand out! I say start JC and if he struggles, throws a pic, fumbles on the snap or handoff yank his ass out and give Boller a shot! either way the key is the O line play! O line shows up and plays like they did against the donks Raiders 24 she chickens 17!
