I messed up with my vote (voted before the coffee)
I think we’ll win close.
Voted "win close" like the Bengals game. The yellow team is all about D and if our O can put up 24pts the towels will drupe
So whatever happens with N.E. if we score 3 TDs and Jano nails one – we win.
S-O-B: ITS HOW I ROLL, DEAL WITH IT.
Be nice to see our "D" put some points on the board
Stuff their run and force them to throw and blitz Fat Ben from all sides and get a pick 6
JUST DOMINATE BABY !!!
If they lose big
it will show how much of a pretender they are and we can match up due to the rash of injuries they have right now and if they get a couple more this Sunday……………………. RAIDERS WIN! RAIDERS WIN!
The wheels may be falling off with the O line issues they have and if we can give Worthlessberger some shots then we can make them hurt. 1 problem is they have that Mendenhall at RB and he is a bit of a power house I was watching during the Bungles game and he was carrying guys and blowing right through LBs and D linemen. That is my worry. Oh yeah did I say fuck Heinz Ward and his cheapshot bullshit?
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I hope they blow the doors off NE Sunday night.
That way they have already played 2 games in the same time frame its taken us to rest. Also I hope some key guys have fluke injuries that will force them to miss the game against us on 11/21. After a huge win they would be much more confident facing us that they may just be flat for this game. Also while they may be looking at revenge for last year we should be focusing on two more streaks that can be laid to rest against Pitt. Oakland has lost 7 straight games following a bye week and also this would finally bury the pitiful streak of 7 straight seasons of 11+ losses. Cable, put that on the bulletin board!

bring their best
I don’t care how they win sunday cause it has no bearing on our game against them. That said I hope they are at full strength so the league can’t say we beat an injured or half stength steelers team that many predicted to make a run in the post season. Then the league will know the SILVER & BLACK is back

If the past has anything to do with it...
in 2006 we beat them at home 20-13 after they lost the previous week in OT to Atlanta.
In 2009 we beat them in Pittsburgh 27-24 after they lost the previous week in OT to the Ravens.
Of course this means nothing other than close games that go down to the wire usually are physical struggles. Add that in 2006 they spent a lot of time on defense chasing Michael Vick and in 2008 they played the always tough and hard hitting Ravens. Note: in the Ravens game concussed Ben Rot did not play, the QB was D Dixon. And we played the maybe not yet fog-free Rot in our game.
Last year the Steelers were 6-2 heading into week 10 before dropping 5 in a row. Concussed BenRot and no Troy Polamalu.
I think we can win one of two ways, either by getting a quick lead or getting sustained drives. If they have to pass to catch up, or if our D actually gets five minutes off instead of a 3-and-out, just a few times – their weakness in protecting the QB will be exposed.
This will be our first real test as contenders. The Steelers know we are good coming in and they will not take us lightly. They also remember last year.

It's a mile-stone game, we're 1-3 on the road and Pit's a tough venue. Plus, even with the bye we are banged up and don't
know the true extend of how bad, e.g. Nnamdi.

NFL Rankings
I bet we get moved to #1 after we destroy the Pittsburg Steelers 59-3. We beat them last year with half the team we now have.
I dont understand
why Pitt winning big will create confidence in the Raiders winning big against them.
Wouldnt it be more logical that if you opponent loses big, you would be more confident to win?
If they win against a ‘supposedly’ good team, wouldnt that make them more of a threat?
Or should this poll say ‘What would make you feel better about a victory over Pitt?" At least then it would make sense to pick anything but ’lose big’.

The poll seems based on the idea that a team will have an outcome dependent psychological state. So it's more about
how fans consider outcomes as they affect the following week’s play, not in general but team specific. Pittsburgh is a good team and may take a loss much differently than a bad team would, e.g. may get fired up and take it out on their next opponent. With a big win, a team may relax the following week or may seek to recapture the “rock concert” high the following week. Moreover, in deciding which is more helpful, it’s necessary to not only know the patterns of the team in question but also the next opponent, i.e. Oakland. Does Oakland get up for a team that just blew someone out more than it does for a team that barely lost, won or was blown out? I think psychological states matter for teams that rely on emotion, e.g. 1980 Eagles but less for teams that are self-possessed, e.g. 2010 Raiders.

Even if I dont agree
I now understand the logic being employed.

if u read it
it says that we will win, so if we beat the steelers and thee steelers beat the tar out of the pats, were definitely contenders
Beating the Steelers on the road
would certainly be a statement that the league would have to pay attention to. If we can put what looks to be the toughest game on the schedule into the win column, then the overall outlook for a contender would be there for the taking. As tough as the schedule is from here on out, in order to contend we have to win some tough road games, maybe starting with Pittsburg. Beating them coming off a bye week would make a more obtainable 4-2 down the stretch to get to 10 wins possible. A loss combined with KC and SD’s easier 2nd half schedule would make it a though uphill climb where 9-7 probably won’t get it done.

I will prefer the Pats beat the Steelers because of domination not mistakes
How much the Pats beat the Steelers its not as important as how they beat them. I will rather see the Pats beat the Steelers because they were the more dominate team instead of beating the Steelers because of mental mistakes. I wanna see the Pats expose their weaknesses in which will help us view video on them as well.
Anyone can be a fan of a winning team, supporting your team when its down is what makes you a true honest fan.
To be honest, I don't care about any points related outcome
but would like them to pick up a shit load of injuries
Note: ‘shit load’ is an accepted unit of measurement from the metric system, equivelant to any number you can think of, +1
Kick their ass and take their stuff!
Yeah,
a freak collision in midfield between Polomalu and all their starting linebackers resulting in multiple concussions would be perfect…

A lot of other injuries like turf toe or a high ankle sprains for the Steelers will work for me
Let’s keep the brain bruising to a minimum!
