Routt
He was my 2nd choice, but I had to go with Huff. He is playing like I expected him to play when he got drafted.

A tie between Tommy Kelly and Stanfort Routt. Both have improved by leaps and bounds and it is evident by the overall team improvement.

Routt had the biggest swing (horrible to pretty good)
But Kelly is next most, imo.
Shaughnessy was already good last year and just keeps getting better.

Routt has improved Mentally, IMO !!!!
He playing smart ball now !!! Kelly game was more physical, and he was getting PHYSICALLY manhandled in years past !!! Routt has been showing out, since the first game this season, where as Kelly has IMPROVED, in the last 5 out of 6 games.SF kicked his azz !!!!! And it was a rookie doing it !!! I think, as he said himself, he was imbarrassed about his play against the whiners, and said, NO MORE !!!!! I got a feeling, Big Rich(better than Big Dick) might have had a hand in it, also !!! (bitchslap, anyone) In a positive way, of course !!!
Speaking on Routt......
Remember what Nnamdi’s comment was, when asked about Routt’s play ??? He’s been for 5 yrs now, and if he hasn’t gotten the idea of how to play by now !!! (another Bitchslap, with positive results, I’d say)
Something clicked in his head; I recall Cable mentioning that in preseason
All our DBs are top athletes but not all had their heads right and Branch and Huff are hammering away since SF. After the SF disaster, Cable metamorphosed into Madden and installed the “Cut it loose” mentality that unblocked latent potentials.

has become a real weapon as a skill player and has lead blocked for one of the best running attacks in the game which for a guy who is a converted college WR is really great.
