Bruce or Jason?
I say still start Jason. Yes Bruce did better than Jason against the Steelers, but Jason has proved that he can handle top teams. I still believe that Jason is our QB for the rest of the season. All we need is better play calls, and looks back at what helped us win those 3 games before. We DID NOT play how we did the last three games against the Steelers.
Overall the offense just needs to step up there game, and move on from this disappointing loss.

Grads hands down.
His only bad throw/decision was that interception by Polamalu but even Bruce couldn’t come back from an 18 point deficit. Campbell fucking killed us today.

Yeah, plus did you see that big run by Bush... it happens after you get a rythm passing.
This is what we nedded, but JC didn’t pass it consistently.
The RaiderLaker
Bruce has fire
Campbell doesn’t. Bruce should have received his starting job back to begin with. Hue Jackson should have never bothered with the run unless it was with Bush. McFadden should have played slot receiver after losing DHB for the game. He would have been more of a threat. Where was the wildcat? John Henderson didn’t do shit hes not healthy. Nahmdi I think could have played but didn’t. ZACH MILLER is still hurt, he was dying out there. Marcel Reese was even part of the game plan WTF! Where was Barnes? This game sucked ass we just took two steps back after taking half a step forward. I hope we don’t play like this against Miami.
And what did Ben say to Seymour? Why would Seymour do that?

well Cable agrees with you...
he said in his post game that jason will get the start next week and that even with the switch today it didnt make a difference. the steelers won because they were the better football team

so if cable knows something that we dont know
im gonna have to trust his decision cause i dont have a damn choice because if it was up to me we would be 0-10!!!

I finally agree with you. He can totally juke out of sacks, and can throw on the run and can run for a big gain.
He has a good arm too.

Nah. We have a horrendous track record with black QB's and Vick would be no exception.
Brooks, Culpepper, Russell, Campbell…..it would be like the last couple of years of his time in Atlanta if we brought him in. We just don’t have the coaching staff to help him develop into the QB we need him to be.

It doesn't have anything to do with the race itself but our history with QB's of color not named Plunkett is atrocious in the last 5-6 years
Campbell is the most pathetic excuse for a QB since JaMarcus Russell first disgraced this team and I’m ashamed of Cable for sticking with him.
Vick was a very undisciplined and reckless player on the field in ATL and I think he would have remained that way if Andy Reid wasn’t coaching him. Cable is no Reid, and I think he would potentially revert back to his former self if we were to pick him up. I think Troy Smith would have been a great pickup for this team but I don’t know why Cable didn’t have the foresight to pick him up before the Niners did. He’s paying dividends for them now.
I will be fucking irate if we signed Vince Young or Kevin Kolb next offseason since they’re probably the only starters who would be available after the season.

why is jason campbell pathetic and then grad is great?
this site is creating a theme of hating any QB who isnt grad. Grad is not a great Qb hes just good so is jason Campbell; just good. We shudve drafted jimmy Clausen like i wish we did and have him sit back for a year like were doing with Bruce Campbell, we need a QB of the future and i think it would be best hes home grown…

Nowhere did I say that Grads is great but he's much much better than Campbell is for this team. (Even though that ain't sayin' much)
Campbell will be the death of this team.

right,
and since Plunkett – Marc Wilson, Jay Schroeder (where we traded for the wrong QB,Redskins had Jay and Doug Williams who won the SB MVP a couple of years after), Marinovich, Andrew Walters, etc have done so much better. Zealot, you have your head up your arse.

Absolutely, give whatever it takes. We need proven QB and that's now what's holding us back. But Grad is twice the man Jason is
if we’d started Grad we’d of established rhythm and the running game would have opened. Putting him in at the end of the 3rd was too late (but better than never) and Pittsburgh knew we were going to have to throw it 7 out of 8 times.
Campbell is horrible.

Vick can't win here
Because we have WR’s like DHB and Murphy that drop more balls than they catch. If you watch the eagles play thoses WR’s want to play hard. I haven’t seen one on our team thats shown me anything. There are just fast thats it Ford shows he wants to play but I didn’t see it today. If we get any QB we need someone to catch the ball
Get Plax will be a FA
Ford looks nice and hopefully Chaz is back, if we cant gt Vick this guy would be nice too….

Gotta go with Bruce
I agreed with the decision to start JC since it’s tough to argue with success- we won 3 in a row with him starting. But during our win streak all the Campbell cheerleaders had become progressively more vociferous that he’s our guy because HE won those games for us. And today he showed that just wasn’t true- he was like a deer in the headlights again. We won our last 3 because the team pulled together and won as a team. Everyone stepped up and made plays and made Jason look good in the process. Bruce should have started right from the beginning of the second half. They waited too long to pull JC. Bruce can make up for some of our other shortcoming on the field just because he’s fiery. Jason’s not. That’s all there is to it.
We all knew this game was going to be a test, but I have to say I’m disappointed that we failed so spectacularly. Cable’s refusal to see that Jason shouldn’t continue as the starter will only serve to make that failure complete .
My final breath shall be a howl, a howl with words in it: a howl singing of torn flesh and warm blood and cracked bones and death.

this is annoying
Jason the starting QB lost so what it was the steelers, seriously? you tihnk grad would of won the game for us? look at the stats same results from both QBs, enough of blaming the QBs it was horrible play call, and alot of mental errors……we still have 2 games with really competitive teams we have to start thinking about them.
Success is not measuredby what you accomplish, but by the opposition you have encountered, and the courage with which you have maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds...

in there world GRAD
by himself would won the game 1 on 11
No, they just rally around him better. You seem to not understand the game of football to its core.
You keep saying, “well, it’s their job to, they don’t need to hear stuff from their QB blah-blah-blah they are paid to…”
Child please.
The RaiderLaker
So if he doesnt get the core of football and you dont even say what it is why bring it up?
The core of it is every guy on the field needs to do their own job, rallying my ass I didnt see rallying. I saw a team that sucked with both QB’s. The difference is Bruce had quick plays and the line a couple times gave him good protection, JC had longer developing plays and little to no time
"There is nothing like a wise phrase or quote to help convince others that your decision makes sense." - Anon
"If you're ever in a fair fight, then your tactics suck." ಠ_ಠ
This clown just talks
if the care of football was rallying then it would be rally sport. Every good team all the player do there job. On our team how many players do there job week in and out. We haven’t had a WR’s since porter but let the cult tell it Murphy is the next tim Brown.
i still play football
and i know i do my job well, idc about whether the Qb gets the ball out to the WRs i know i have a job to do and i run with the best of them. and seriously the “players rally play only for grad” thing was only tru when Jamarcus was the QB, theres no comparison between jason and jamarcus; jason blows him out the water, and he also better than grad. Coach has to do a better job playcalling and setting up a gameplan.
Success is not measuredby what you accomplish, but by the opposition you have encountered, and the courage with which you have maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds...

The short and sweet version is that PIT is just a better team.
Through all the bitching, I have yet to see anyone admit that. We have played well in recent weeks, but anyone that thinks we are among the top tier teams in this league is a fool. We simply are not there yet. I think people have been blinded by the recent success to the point that they think we’re better than what we are.
Yes, on any given sunday, we can beat anyone. But if you have any objectivity at all, you knows we lose this game 4 out of 5 times. This was a horrible match up for the Raiders. Let’s not forget that this team is still rebuilding, not to mention hampered by injuries.
And the whole “rallying” arguement just pisses me off more than getting the shit kicked out of us on the field. If any player is not giving max effort based on who is playing at any given position, he should immeditately be removed from the team.
Grad is starting to really annoy me
he is too hopped up, does not step into his throws, relies too much on improvisation. I’d like to see him just settle down and make plays. As bad as our OL is, he has a quick release so at least TRY to stay in the pocket before running around, throwing off the wrong foot.
Again, Oh So True, Al !!!!
The Raiders got outplayed, & outcoached today !!! End of subject !!! Jason was bad, Gradz was worst, and Pittsburg’s coaches took Marshall & Hue to school today !!!! And Cable was left holding the bag !!!! Of course Gradz moved the ball, they were playing the prevent, and the minute they thought he was doing to much, Lebeau told his defense to sich em !!!!
How was Grads worse? They were both bad.
You made yourself look bad with that comment. Embarassing hypocritical statement imo.
The RaiderLaker
We're you watching the Game ????
Call it rust if you want too, but bad throws with no pressure on him, throwing High balls, late on some throws, and a couple of just outright DUCKS !!! IMO, Gradz has more going on with that shoulder, than we are being told !!!! I said this once before, don’t be suprised, when the season is over, he ends up having surgery !!!!
And yes, when Pittsburg turn the dogs loose,(something that we should’ve done) Campbell got flustered !!! Zack dropping a couple of balls( that he normally catches ) didn’t help matters !!!! Bottom line; Pittsburg was the better team, TODAY !!!!!
Campbell said he was benched because his shoulder hurt - see Tafur
If true, he’s also injury-prone and may end up having surgery.
Both of them suck, but Grad costs us much less.

Grad had quick passes called, JC had 5 step drops.

Grads strength is the quick pass
so they went to his strength. Apparently they don’t feel it’s a strength of JCs
JUST DOMINATE BABY !!!
Well, it goes with his quick release.
JC needs the 5 step because it takes longer for him to read and throw the ball.

of our two blow out losses that we have had to two of the great teams that we have faced this season.

The Titans aren't a "great" team this year. But they were goon in the first half of the season when we played them.
He’s been at the helm for the blowout losses and 3 of the most pitiful offensive performances by our team this year though.
