Around SBN: Upon Further Review: Bo Knows Longreads

I would like to take this time to thank Richard Seymour for punching Ben Roethlisberger in the throat during the Steelers 35-3 victory over the Raiders this weekend. I truly believe the world would be a better place if this happened more often. Unfortunately, due to the unfair nature of the NFL, he will likely be unjustly fined for his heroic actions.

We have different definitions of "heroic actions"

It was boneheaded, and even he knows it.

Ben needed to get punched, it seemed to wake him up. Maybe he just needed a good punch to get him back on track.

But, it wasn't to the throat; if it had been they would have carried Ben's corpse out feet first. No, just to the lantern jaw

and ben went down just like that. Seymour needs to bring that shot into his regular game; it reminded my of Bruce Lee’s short punch, very effective shock.

Loved that post

My only regret was that Seymour didn’t use a closed fist and put all 310 pounds behind it.

Although perhaps a pimp slap was more appropriate. Roethlisberger doesn’t deserve Seymour’s best shot.

I have to think every father in America was overjoyed to see that unless they are inveterate Raider haters or Steelers fans. Some guys hereabouts would send their daughter into the bathroom stall with Ben and think it a proud moment.

it's freaking awesome that he didn't get suspended

Only thing that would have made it more awesome is if his quote regarding the incident was “I have daughters”
