despite the refs. I thought is was the worst officiated game I have ever seen.

Agreed

That had to be the BEST game on today hands down! (aside from the officials!) They cant ignore both teams anymore. If the say that the Chiefs are the real deal. Then so are the Raiders. And it can go the other way around because KC hung in there till the end!

I just don’t want the Chargers or Broncos to take this division! There is nothing better than seeing people be wrong about teams.

HELL YEA!!

nothing like watching the game talking trash to patriots, chargers fans and have them pull out a W in a battle like this! Mind you we lost 2 starters on D aside from our shut down specialist in 21 and still managed to silence that “great” rushing attack that was no. 1.

Where you at now KC fan?
all that garbage I was reading all week about this being a blowout and shutting down RunDMC-he still had a good game compared to your precious Charles-Jones combo.

Where you at now? I expected a tight game and this was exactly what we got. But our team stepped it up and delivered when it was on the line. Perfect time for a bye so everyone can get regrouped and finish the second half strong to what has been a rejuvenation in the making.

This was a game that Oakland of the past 8 years would lose every time

So sloppy, so many penalties, the air was sucked out of the stadium the whole first half. But we responded over and over again. Clutch performances from so many people. I can’t believe i’m saying this, but the Raiders have turned the corner. We have heart, we have fire, and we have playmakers who are rising to the occasion.

by RAIDERSNOMERCY on Nov 8, 2010 5:09 AM PST up reply actions

Those refs were buffoons

It all started to go downhill with the bogus 30 something yard pass interference call in the first quarter.

Cable needs to file a complaint with the league to get all those bad calls and confusion from those refs looked at. That kind of officiating makes a mockery of the game. Can’t let it slide regardless of how the game turns out.

by KingsFan on Nov 8, 2010 7:53 AM PST up reply actions

As a Raider fan I was screaming at the TV on that one

Hey, I’m all for winning and getting one step closer to the division, but the last thing I was is for this game to be messed up by some idiot ref like that who doesn’t even know the down and yards to go. After the next play was run, I was really, really flipping out.

I’m very glad they got that thing sorted out and the Raiders were able to win outright.

I mean, my gosh, what would have happened if that thing was upheld? I kept thinking back to the George Brett pine tar incident, thinking Todd Haley would continue the game “under protest.”

They sure know how to make up excuses on the Chiefs blog

Talking about the refs bad calls. For every bad call that was on the Chiefs, there were 2 for us. The refs tried as hard as possible to give the Chiefs the win. Especially when they handed the ball to the Chiefs after Miller was already down, and even if he had fumbled it, we recovered it. Then they want to go and say that they were missing Dexter McCluster. Well Chiefs fans, we were missing Nnamdi Asomugha, Zach Miller, Louis Murphy, Chaz Schilens, and Rolando McClain for most of the game. Not to mention Branch was out for most of the 2nd half.

Theyre also blaming Bowe and their coach for not playing charles who was on a “tear”. funny how DMAC outran both of them. instead of just chalking it up to the run D actually stepping it up they complain and cry like Rivers.
Cassel was tearing up the secondary, but I still like the way the defense didnt give up and kept bringing it. Although that TD to Bowe was garbage. How do you not know the coverage and let him walk in??!

Hopefully with the time off, the team can come back at full strength, which will be desperately needed when they face the Steel in the Burgh.

Stats

Charles YPC was higher than DMC. So, the point is valid.

by "Captain" on Nov 7, 2010 6:25 PM PST up reply actions

Only if your point was base soley on the fact that Charles is better because of YPC

But i believe the argument was that the chiefs would win the game because you guys have a better running game. And our run game was better. McFadden had more yards.

Oh, and we won!

by Ctb3 on Nov 7, 2010 6:30 PM PST up reply actions

I admit I hadnt seen a Chiefs game yet, but the way I was reading from all the Chiefs fans posts here and on AP, it appeared he was a monster. He looked pretty mortal to me. Nowhere near as deadly as say, Foster or Johnson.

Is he better than DMAC, I dont know, do I care? No.
What does it matter if hes better or not if hes not getting the W.

If you want to argue he didnt get the ball enough, well maybe it was because as a team KC was held to under their avg by what was termed a horrible run D. This being a RIVALRY game with more than just pride, but a chance to be over .500. It looks to me like the Silver n Black (minus several key starters on D) stepped up their game and brought the pressure. I didnt see Charles brake off any big runs anywhere near as close as DMACs 34 yrdr. But thats not my point. I was more concerned about the secondary coming into this game than I was about the run. Sure enough, I didn’t see KC steamroll Oakland into submission with their no. 1 rushing attack as was predicted by many a KC fans.

by SilvrnBlck forever on Nov 7, 2010 6:44 PM PST up reply actions

I would also poin out that despite

the KC RB having a slight edge in YPC our Run DMC had more yards that both of the KC RB’s combined! add in Bush and all I can say is who’s Run Game is better? thats right THE OAKLAND RAIDERS!!!!!

by Ra1derRob67 on Nov 7, 2010 6:48 PM PST up reply actions

That's the point...

That Charles wasn’t given the ball enough and for some reason they kept handing it off to Jones who was obviously not up to snuff. Jones kept putting us in a bad position.

When you receive more touches you are more likely to break one off.

Your points are completely invalid to their argument.

by "Captain" on Nov 7, 2010 7:06 PM PST up reply actions

I would disagree with you

I think my point is valid because by your thinking if both of our primary RB’s had the carries that other RB’s took DMC would still be ahead in the yardage.

"Just Win Baby" is not a philosophy, it is a way of life!

by Ra1derRob67 on Nov 7, 2010 7:12 PM PST up reply actions

Negative

When Charles was producing more yards per carry than the other KC running backs. It’s obvious that the total yardage would have been higher as well.

If Charles had Jones’ 19 carries at his 5.3 YPC. That would mean he would have totaled 29 carries and 153.7 yards. And most likely would have had a big run at some point in those extra 19 carries.

If you can’t see that then it’s pointless to even talk to you about it. I’m not discrediting the win from Oakland by any means. But, the KC fans have been griping about Charles lack of touches long before they lost to Oakland.

by "Captain" on Nov 7, 2010 7:25 PM PST up reply actions

At the same time

It depends on the plays that were called. There was times when we were in the backfield ready to stop the run. IMO I think he would have had less YPC if he took all the carries…

lets just throw in there that JC looked like he got hurt during the game. I saw that. I remember. I also recall the crowd cheering it on. Not the right thing, but like ALL teams theres always some morons in the mix cheering something like that on.

However, assuming JC would continue with his 5.3 ypc with 19 more carries and get 153, is to assume the refs make the RIGHT call and overrule the first TD and the fumble KC was given. You sound like you want only JC running the ball. That means DMAC would have 24 carries and 124.8 yds. In case you didnt know, practically all teams run a duo RB attack now. The days of a back doing it all are over since it doesnt always = a W. Which is what is more important in the end.

I would have liked for DMAC to get more catches but they didnt do it. The whole thing with this like I said before was KC fans claiming that theyre no. 1 rushing attack. With Charles AND Jones would steamroll the Raiders run D.

IT DIDN’T HAPPEN. period.

WTF

What game did you watch?? I can only assume you’re talking about Campbell, and the game I saw he didn’t play well at all. A win is a win, and I’ll gladly take it, but his performance was pretty bad. He was bailed out time and again by Ford. Yet again, he looked like he was a little lost at times, and to be honest looked like a so-so back-up. If anyone went off in the 2nd, it was Ford.

by the red guy on Nov 8, 2010 10:02 AM PST up reply actions

In the second haf, he was making all of the passes, mostly to ford.

Ford bailed him out on ONE pass, and that was almost INTd by flowers. That was it.

For the second half, besides that one throw, he was solid.

So if he throws a pas, and Ford completes it, that’s all ford, and not JC.

No. Don't try to twist my words you bastardized Praidriot mutant.

That Higgins first down was one of few good throws he made. I’ll give him that, but he overthrew the shit out of DHB twice, once in the endzone (even though DHB shoulda still caught it), and he overthrew Ford on that 47 yarder but Ford turned on the burners to adjust and make a play on the ball.

So I’m guessing whatever feed you were watching the game on didn’t work until that final drive eh? Because he had at least 3 balls that should have been or WERE intercepted but either the defender couldn’t catch it or Ford saved his ass. There’s a difference between gettin’ or almost gettin’ INT’d because the QB threw a good pass but the WR tipped it up instead of trying to catch it and just flat out making horrible throws. Part of the reason JC has a decent completion percentage is because he’d rather get sacked or run out of bounds than throw the ball away so they don’t lose yards.

by Raider Zealot on Nov 8, 2010 4:05 PM PST up reply actions

okay first of all

he threw to DHB 3 times I think at the most. One he WAS wide open, but the one in the endzone DHB should have caught it. That’s DHBs fault, not JCs.

On the 47 yarder, ford just extended his hands to make the catch. It was a great throw. here it is: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-fantasy/09000d5d81bf30f6/QB-Campbell-to-WR-Ford-47-yd-pass

One of the throws, ford did save his ass. The other one, where ford adjusted, was IN NO WAY going to be INTd. Because the defender had momentum completely in one direction. ALSO, if he threw it more to the left, where Ford wouldn’t have HAD to adjust, the defender would have EASILY broke up the pass. So JC threw to where ONLY Ford could make a play. Here it is: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-fantasy/09000d5d81bf3228/QB-Campbell-to-WR-Ford-37-yd-pass

notice how when the defender tried to do something by diving, he went in the direction in his momentum. That would not have been an INT.

I would say that throw to Rock should of been INTd, and Rock saved him.

I watched the entire game. I’ve seen those passes. I’ve seen him throw bad passes, but I ALSO seen him make very good throws. Whether you like it or not, he has made very good throws in that game as well. Not in the first half, but he definitely did in the second half.

I’ll take 11 players with heart on the field over 11 guys with just talent. Talent is fleeting, it goes away over time. Heart is what drives you to be better. To push yourself beyond what you think your capabilities are. To show us that when you strive, all things are possible.- SMP

Yet again,

Campbell made some good throws, and some bad ones. Basically, he performed like a competent back-up should. Jason Campbell is a Good Back-Up, and a sketchy starter. Say what you will, but even the guys fondling his gear right now will have to admit, he isn’t exactly a top 16 QB.

It’s speculation how many yards he would have gotten. He could have broken one off or he could have not.

Bad calls all around (but the punt “fumble” was epic), we are down 2 pro bowlers in Nam and Zach, as well as our starter in Bruce (but for how long I don’t know) and our 1st rounder in Death Ro. Oh yeah, and we spotted them a half by not playing until the 3rd quarter. And Cable uses both challenges in the 1st half, and Jano misses a gimme FG.

But yeah, they got jobbed.

Correction ... didn't play OFFENSE for the first half

Our defense showed up big, and totally kept us in the game the first half while the offense did dick.

The PI on CJ was WRONG, and the touchdown call was WRONG, and the field goal they got cause DMac put it on the ground (if I’m remembering correctly) and then the D shut ’em down.

Defense is playing 4 quarters nowadays, and playing with pride and poise. They are a most improved unit by leaps and bounds from last year.

Ford’s dropped way too many throws himself all season, but after a game like tonight. WOW
Give this guy more playing time. The biggest game of the season thus far, and he steps it up like that??!!
Nobodys really made a mark all year as a solid receiver except for Z. Miller. Id like for Schillens, Murph, Higgins and Bay to all step it up and have ford and Miller 2 as the the speedy slot receivers but they all seem to forget to catch the damn ball at times.

That INT steal was epic, which makes the fact that it went into OT and they pull out the win in the rain after a battle in a game that was just god awful in the first half an instant classic!

Reminds me of 2000 when Jano kicked the winning FG at arrowhead and stopped KC from going to the playoffs.

Hopefully for the bye week all the WRs spend the entire time practicing how to make a damn catch. So we can start moving the ball even better and getting some pts on the board to ease the pressure on the D.

They seriously need just spend an entire week or the rest of the season, preferably, practicing catching a ball.
With the speed they have and the amount of receivers, they can easily have a 5 receiver set and spread it out like New England, then switch it up the next play and have RunDMC or bush smash up the middle or to the left. Im wondering why they didnt bother sending DMAC to the flank and have him run a route, the guy can catch out of the backfield and with his hands and speed can come up with big plays no doubt.
Im not sold yet either, but JC is catching some major breaks. Bruce is still the starter, but man, Im nervous about messing with whats working for 3 wks now.

With that said, I like our chances vs pitt, coming off 3 wins(A blowout, a grinder, and now a come from behind OT win) and a bye. Hopefully we dont need some bs video challenge to win us the game and they smash tiny Ben and the steel to the ground!

by SilvrnBlck forever on Nov 7, 2010 6:33 PM PST up reply actions

Only thing Id do is tweak it so there are fewer mistakes on both sides.

But man, no 4 in the NFL in sacks??! I love it. Means the pressure is getting there finally and they are getting it done. With our 3 missing starters on D back for pitt hopefully, I like our chances of coming away with INTs that = pts and ultimately another big W!

by SilvrnBlck forever on Nov 7, 2010 6:54 PM PST up reply actions

we dont have the Oline play for a 5 rec set

we are bringing in an extra tackle as eligible TE for pass protection, takes a chip before hitting the flat and gives us a few seconds extra, we would never have time for the play to develop on a 5 wide set, nobody could get deep b/c it would have to be a quick pass or sack kinda play.

we came up with the win

but this game was sloppy and the cheifs should have won but they didn’t (thanks to my hero Dwayne Bowe). The raiders were sloppy and way too many penalties this game. Like i said before, i knew this would be a defensive game. first team to reach 100 yards rushing will win. and i was right! i admit i kept hearing about this No. 1 rushing attack but i didn’t see it today. maybe if the cheifs had passed more it probably would have been a different game but they didn’t and Jacoby Ford and the raiders came out took advantage of this game (a little late if you ask me).

by Assassin32 on Nov 7, 2010 6:20 PM PST reply actions

I don't think the Queefs shoulda won at all ...

They shoulda had like 6 points. The first Chris Johnson PI they called that set them up for the first TD … GARBAGE call. We were shutting them down prior to that. The first touchdown they got shortly thereafter … dude was OUT OF BOUNDS. Second foot did NOT drag, and the knee came down on the line. And then the ‘phantom punt fumble’ we couldn’t challenge … set up their other touchdown. Make the right call on those plays and both their touchdowns never even happen.

Sure we played a sloppy game, and the fake punt was a HORRIBLE call, and we really couldn’t get it going in the first half, but I think we outplayed them over the course of the game, and that’s why we won.

Game balls to Jacoby (of course), and the rag-tag banged-up defense that did what nobody said they could do … which was stop the vaunted KC run game and force Cassell to have to try to beat us … and he COULDN’T.

Mike Mitchell made some huge plays. And Seabass came up huge when it counted.

Oh, and THANK YOU BOWE for CHOKING by dropping the game winning pass. If you hadn’t been busy trying to knock the defenders hands out of the way (shoulda been a PI on YOU) you mighta caught it, but … TOO BAD!

I am hoarse from screaming, and think I may be still be having heart palpitations, but DAMN it was worth it. What an amazing game. I’m so jealous of my brothers who were both there … they said the crowd walking out of the Coliseum was just going nuts.

It’s clear that the Raiders have turned a corner FINALLY after 7 years. I am so proud to of this friggin team right now. To pull this out with so many guys hurt, and so many bad calls against us, and so many penalties, and -2 in the turnover battle … just an amazing, amazing win.

I blame Cable for being a moron and trying to match KC by going for it on 4th down. It was 4th and 5 and they run that draw to Cartwright. Cmon! A punt wouldve kept the game the way it was. A game of field position. Sure enough the next pass play was the one where CJ got the PI call and set up that questionable td. If they had punted the ball the game wouldve been a lot different in the first half. Who knows, maybe KC doesnt go up 10.

Next time if Cable wants to run on 4th down Im fine with it if its on the other side of the field and not at the 50. Unless of course theres a chance for a FG.

by doctorK on Nov 7, 2010 8:37 PM PST up reply actions

up to that point it was a tight game where nobody was doing anything. Cable practically gave KC a spot in the red zone for that matter. Both sides were struggling to move the ball the way teams do in a heated RIVALRY game. DONT SCREW IT UP Cable. Jesus.

I hope he leaves these stupid calls at home when they play in two weeks or well be screwed.

Chief fans can kiss my ass

For all the Chief fans who spouted off the other day about the Raiders would get their asses kicked can kiss my ass. All of the Chief fans who said I was over confident and would be in mourning come Monday can kiss my ass. This game was only close because of the Raiders injuries and blown calls by the officials. Even with that advantage and Raider mistakes your team was beaten and sorry about the redundancy but you can kiss my ass. Enough said.

On a serious note

I’ve never understood why the fans of any team take the time to go to anothers team site and talk smack. That being said this was a great game. It showed what the Raiders haven’t had the past 7 years; guts and heart. This team doesnt give up.

Smash Mouth Football

I keep thinking back to when Cable broke his assistant coaches jaw for being a punk ass. I knew then that we finally had a tough ass coach who could turn the Raiders around. Cable has the Raiders playing with the attitude and toughness that hasn’t been there since Gruden was traded. This feels good. As a reminder to all, in 2002 the Raiders started the Season 4-4 and ended up in the SB.

Not to discredit or be rude.

But I think you aren’t better than your record, but as good as your record shows. Like the Chiefs you’re almost able to beat the best teams in the league but find ways to lose in a close one. It’ll be a tough one against Pittsburgh.

I think a lot of the “trolls” from Chief people failed to realize that our RB duo isn’t God or unstoppable. It was a great game. I’m looking forward to week 17 when hopefully both our teams are still in winning ways and are flexed into a prime-time game for the AFC West Crown.

well to be fair they are better than 5-4. At least 6-3. Jano makes that FG in Arizona like he did today and this team is making even more noise than it already has. Throw in the SF game out and have them play it again and who knows, they might actually win that one decidedly.

But overall, its a good sign that they didnt give up yet again. I was afraid of that when KC took the lead 20-17 on what was NOT a fumble. But thankfully at least for the SB Nation of course, they toughened up and went out and got the W.

Most definitely would like to see another battle like this for week 17.

This was a Great Game and like I expected, It came down to 3 points or less. The ignorant Chiefs fans that came in here and talked trash were dumb to do so. I knew this would all come bite them in the ass.

Anyway. Yes, The Refs were Terrible. Any NFL Fan would see that. The Botched down numbers, the Terrible PI calls, and the Scramble for the ball that lasted for 3 minutes with the Chiefs gaining poession. Those all were terrible calls. I’m glad Oakland beat the Refs because I knew they were gonna get raped if the Chiefs would have won.

I can honestly say we didn’t deserve to win that game. It should have been 20-0 at the half. Hats off to the Raiders……. I do however find it hard to believe that the most penalized team in the league comes up division winners with your schedule. No knock to the Raiders but with your undisciplined team you really have a rough schedule ahead. You showed you were the better team today, but again, the Raiders proved to be the trash heap of the NFL cheering at a player getting injured. See you at Arrowhead.

easy now, Ive heard the crowd cheer at injured players from the opposing team in other stadiums too so back it on up there.

As for 20-0. Right. If cable made the right call, KC wouldnt have the great field position that allowed them the first td, which as the replays have shown was Out Of Bounds, after that questionable PI call. I can live with that PI call but not that bogus td that was obviously wrong.
Cassel got lucky the previous pass wasnt an INT by Huff in the end zone before Ware got the INT to close the half.

As Green Bay has shown. A lot of penalties doesnt mean the team is horrible. Just ask the Titans and New York Jets.

F'N Refs

Since the players and coaches get fines or suspensions whenthey talk about the refs, the Player Association should have someone reviewing the games like the NFL does and fine them for making bad calls. If this was allowed back in 2000, the ref who made the Fuck Rule call will be suspended for 5 games and the Patriots would not be the “dynasty” that the NFL allowed them to be.

Some of those catches were game savers and you guys fought harder than us. I can’t believe he took that away from flowers w/ 20 damn sec to put you in FG range. That was play of the game IMO. It was an amazing catch and we left too many points on the field today and we got a L for it. We had you backed in the corner bleeding and half dead and like I said before a wounded animal is dangerous. Serious I watched the play over and over now and really all I can say is amazing. I don’t care about the rest of the game that catch did it. He was pressured and threw up a prayer and it was answered he stole that pic away and made it his. Then the FG to go to overtime the D stepped up and the O came up w/ another great play to seal the deal. Great game Oakland I’m sitting on the wrong side of happy but congratulations I really mean it. Now I will go die slowly some more and wonder how he did it lol

Agree w/all you said ...

Classy response … nice to see.

You guys will get another shot, my guess is that it’ll be for all the marbles in the West, too.

No I'll be down til next week lol

I love my team and bleed when we lose. I shI can honestly see this being our seasons time bomb. I could see 8-8 now. I really think that deflated our momentum. That two games on the road we couldn’t seal. Good teams keep the lead and make good half time adjustments and you did that better. I am pissed Jones got more carries than Charles when Charles is clearly the better back. We have to get a new QB and WR our passing game is pathetic at all levels. I don’t care what Chiefs fans say we suck at QB end of story.

by kansas city on Nov 7, 2010 9:13 PM PST up reply actions

I dunno know ... I think Cassel played a good game

He’s about the last guy on your team I’d be calling out. The pick he threw at the goal line was the only really bad decision I saw the guy make (your coach definitely was not amused lol). If Bowe makes that catch to convert third down (and it was a nearly perfect throw), you guys win, Cassel’s pretty much the hero.

by Brett J Valjalo on Nov 8, 2010 8:22 AM PST up reply actions

He sucks IMO

He overthrows alot of balls. I don’t know I just don’t like him. Also running Jones more than Charles is a crime.

by kansas city on Nov 8, 2010 2:07 PM PST up reply actions

There is no way you can blame Cassel. None.

Charles was banged up. Jones was being stuffed. In the end, the game was still close with every opportunity under the sun to win it. You can thank Matt Cassel for that. And I’ve had it with Bowe. He makes some amazing catches but cracks under pressure. We need a clutch WR.

I knew it was gonna be

a 3 point game.

What I didn’t know is that Ford was gonna be such a badass.

Our rookies sure are showing up when we need them.

by xville on Nov 7, 2010 9:16 PM PST reply actions

They showed up big

That boy made PLAYS big plays to win you guys the game. I knew(check the thread) leaving points on the field would make us lose. We made to many mistakes late on the road to win that game. Your a good team we needed to play better football.

and trust me i know how your feeling right now

by bobnarly on Nov 7, 2010 9:24 PM PST up reply actions

This I know

It was a tough loss for us. You guys did a hell of a job never giving up and fighting for the win. You guys had more heart and now the AFC instead of being lop sided is tight as hell. Why do I see the Scumbag Chargers coming back and winning the division? No discredit to you though but you have a tough schedule.

i think ford had a very good game and he deserves to start over DHB or at least JLH...

but i dont think Al will let be #2… i think Ford can be a really good slot, kinda like a santana moss, welker, chrebet type receiver… i thought JLH coudlve been good but since the weddle hit, he hasnt been the same

Now!!!! The Oakland Raiders now believe they can win, the Raiders as a team can now believe in NEVER giving up and reaping the rewards of that.

This game has more to do with the will to win than with anything else. Finally, even with the sloppy play the Raiders didn’t give up, even with Nick’s bogus fumble they did NOT quit, the Raiders know they have to fight for a win and they are willing to do so. Seymour is a beast, as I said when the Raiders picked him up. And now that the Raiders have revamped their team look at where we are headed. We still need a few pieces in place to get back to our dominating ways, however, we are winning the games we should right now and that can land us in the playoffs!!! I knew the Raiders were not going to come in to the KC game and laydown, they came in to hit someone in the mouth and that is the Raiders an OG like me knows. Let me tell you guys something, all my young Raider fans out there…Just hold on a minute, we are well on our way back to dominance, we have the talent, Hue is finally getting plays in the game that are opening up lanes, and we don’t even have our best players on the field. C-Chill, hasn’t played all year our Pro Bowl CB and starting tight end are both out, and they played today as if it didn’t matter. That is the sign of maturity and the will to win. It is the will to win that will elevate the Raiders….Excellent effort today,,,,Go Raiders!!!!

Honorable Mention for Rock Cartwright

Yeah, he was stopped on the fake punt, but he was so money to start the 2nd half. He sprung the crucial block to set Jacoby free. He Forced that Fumble with a capital F on Arenas on the kickoff coverage. Those two plays energized the stadium and the players. Cartwright has made a difference on special teams.

by eshock on Nov 8, 2010 7:37 AM PST reply actions

Agreed ...

I totally noticed it was him that made the key block and then pop the fumble out shortly afterwards. Those were two clutch plays … esp. the block to spring Jacoby.

One thing I'm not going to do is talk smack at this point ...

That game was WAAAAY too close, and we SOOOOOO easily could’ve lost.

I mean, Bowe makes that catch for the 3rd down conversion (which he should’ve) … we lose.

Ford doesn’t make that amazing bobbling grab (that should’ve been intercepted), we lose.

This was a skin of our teeth win, that could’ve gone either way. Bottom-line, we got very lucky to pull this out, and these are clearly two very evenly matched teams.

by Brett J Valjalo on Nov 8, 2010 8:59 AM PST reply actions

I (unfortunately) missed the game because of work.

But I figured it would be a close game as always happens to be the case, no matter how bad each team seems. Now I can’t WAIT for the Raiders to come to KC.

I announced the outcome at work, and my boss instantly started berrating the Chiefs. I asked if she happened to be a fan of the Raiders. Her response: “No, I’m a COWBOYS FAN, BABY!” I have never laughed so hard in my entire life.

Anyway, good luck with the rest of your schedule (I think you’ll need it because it looks tough). And lastly………GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CHIEFS!

I eat nails for breakfast, tacks for snacks, and I sh*t nickel.

As the Chiefs used to be the Dallas Texans… she mustn’t be that big a Dallas fan.

That would be awesome.

by TexasRaider20 on Nov 8, 2010 9:44 AM PST reply actions

Defense gets game ball from me.

I know Ford was our whole offense the second half and he deserves it but with injuries to Nnamdi, Branch, Henderson, Mclain, bad officiating, offense unable to move the ball they had NO MENTAL BREAKDOWNS. R. Brown coming in and stepping up as the middle Linebaker. Great awareness by WARE on that INT and then the deflected fade pass to BOWE that HUFF could have had an INT. Held the supposedly best running duo (#1 rushing offense) to 85yds rushing. Seymore is a beast and I cant wait to have Henderson back to line up next to him.

Anyone can be a fan of a winning team, supporting your team when its down is what makes you a true honest fan.

Let the sun shine on the Raider Nation today

I was tailgating with my dad and some buddies in lot M and it was a friggin monsoon! It’s coming down hard and my buddy tells me, “We’re fucking Pirates bro! We’re supposed to weather the storm!” The Raiders did exactly that yesterday, they kept grinding and weathered it out for the Win. For everyone that made it to the Coliseum yesterday, good job! It was awesome to see, hear and feel the crowd show up for the game. Great win for the Raiders. Let’s rest up, work at getting better and get ready for the 2nd half of our season. But today, let us bask in sun with that victory!
