I am not a fan of the 49ers. Sometimes you need help from the least expected places though. Here comes Thursday Night Football! I don't get the NFL Network with my cable company being Time Warner so if I want to watch this game I'll have to put on my walkin boots. Good thing for me the only thing that I really care about in this game is the outcome. It is unlikely that the Niners will end up with a victory, but it would be a huge help for Raider Nation. Who really knows in this strange, strange season anyway. We need the Chargers to lose at least one of the next three games and I would personally like to see that happen as soon as possible. I sincerely think that the Chiefs are going to lose to the Titans this Sunday and I feel like the Broncos have already gone on vacation in their heads. I don't think the Broncos have enough heart left to block any punches coming their way. I don't know if the Raiders will have another record breaking performance against them, but coming out with a W is a necessity. The Chargers just crushed the Chiefs (without Matt Cassel) and you never like to see them gain any momentum at this time of year. What a blow it would be to the Chargers if San Francisco came in and opened a giant can of whoop ass.
I'll have my fingers crossed all day in hopes of San Fran channeling their inner Steve Young and beating the Chargers like they were a high school team. Too bad its not in San Francisco, they could have really thrown that 1994 Super bowl beat down in the Chargers faces. Can you imagine the wrench that losing to the 49ers tonight would put in the Chargers wheels? It would be a far more crippling loss than our loss to the Jags. It would be a great thing to see Phillip Rivers walking off the field with that scowl that belongs on an 8 year old girl, not on an NFL QB's face. It's probably just wishful thinking, but it could happen. You never know, that's why they play the game!
